So I have a little leak from the lip of my PS steering reservoir. Not a major one, but enough that I would like to replace it. However.. They dont exist. Any substitutes? I know Beech makes one but I don't want an lines... Just a nice plug in replacement without much modifications. Thoughts?
Before you panic... Realise this... If you get air in the system and the temperature gauge reads a pocket... It will spike. Your hose blew.. Coolant drained... Happened to me with the turbo coolant line right after I bought the car. It doesn't mean you hurt the engine... Air just gets hotter...
I gave up on perfection for now. I put my car in shows when its mobile even though I consider it not even half where I want it. Settling for enjoying the car in the short window our weather provides. Of course... None of my current issues will cause me to stall out on the road :)
So I start the car and idle while I put the targa bars on... And the car smokes blue when I go to drive away. Noticed that before too... Is that normal with forged pistons?
Wrong post for that question.. lol.
So.. did you make it out today? I did a full Deerfoot North/South run, Anderson...
Exactly. I went with a .68 ar hot side in the hopes that spool would be quicker but I am better off downshifting and having it go full boost and then up shifting. The biggest problem is that I have a fuel cut setup for 6200 rpm. My 1000 cc injectors are on the stock fuel rail and don't get under...
Lol... True. You don't need power to pass on Deerfoot... You need good brakes and clutch...
Interference on the 7m doesn't bother me too much because it's the kind of engine that will run forever if properly built. I would probably build the head and swap them later, but that's not going to...

I was looking at 272's for mine but am still researching and deciding. When I had my turno put on I put a .75" spacer just in case so I don't have to rework anything.
As for 400 RWHP, I'm not quite sure how much crank that is, but I only built for approx. 700, so with the setup I have, 400 is...
No real problems, other than I need a retune on the VPro now that I have AC. Waiting on my R154 to swap from Jack Transmission... Steady bearing needs replacement and I need to redo all control arms because they bushings are froze.
The car has a lot of power potential but in wary of going over...
By your description, it could also be the steering rack bushings. Usually ball joints give you a bit of a vibration. I do a side to side on the tire with it on the ground.. If it's bad you can usually feel it. If its "minor" sometimes you can't. My tie rod ends need replacing but I can only feel...
I don't think I have seen your car live yet. The Supra people in town were pretty active this year, we did a Kananaskis run and a couple car shows. My car isn't complete yet, but was drivable for the summer so far. The major drivetrain issues are almost all solved. Shoild lete know if your going...
Not sure what you mean. The AFM shouldn't care about anything behind it.
The accordian hose just has to be between the AFM and the turbo. (As long as it's not kinked or cracked)
Not many options in that area though.
The deciding factor for the EGR delete for me was its location and the fact it's unmonitored. The emissions aren't a concern where I live due to our not having to do emission tests.
As for decreased heat in the exhaust, im not sure that is enough of a factor to really consider for a 7M...
