Running the engine with the clutch in, it all seems normal. I Think because I was accelerating to pass and then the trans just stopped the engine which can't be good, but that seems to have not done any damage... So far as I can tell.
Will have it looked at when the trans gets r&r'd
Update...
My daughter gave me a new grandson on Sept 29, so I went up to visit her.
Rebuilt r154 still had the pop out issue, and when I arrived (it's a 550 km trip one way) my trans made a sound like the release bearing was rattling that disappeared when I put the clutch in.
After sitting...
Width has nothing to do with speedo. The factor of sidewall to width counts though.
I'm 255/35 18 and that puts my speedo about 3kph faster than true speed.
Just setup your sidewall so that it matches as close as you can (for height). If 245/40 is too high, try 245/35. Personally I wouldn't go...
Nothing in Calgary.
I wonder if your turbo is same size as mine. Although from the "fun" statement yours may spoil sooner. Mine doesn't kick until after 4k RPM
Don't know what sideways means...
I think the main concern is that you allow airflow through the fins or it's not very useful.
If you mean rotating it from 9-3 to 12-6 I don't think that would matter too much because the oil is pushed through, not gravity fed. (Just practical thinking, I...
W58 is fine until you top 500-600 hp IMO. The diff on your NA supra will probably be typical where you will have more acceleration but lower top end. (4.3 gears?)
You just rev higher at 60 mph than a typical diff on a turbo car. I'm not sure if the lsd is normal for NA's, mine had it.
You will...
If I go with the NA one, I will have to replace the lines as well correct?
I don't often see used ones up for sale. I think there's a rubber deal between the top plate and the cup that can shrink or crack. I beleive that is what happened. At least that's what appears to be the problem. Haven't...
I had a knock as well on my engine in my red 88. Turned out to be the cam gear bolts loosened. The guy who did the head forgot to torque them correctly. Did you do anything to those fears lately?
