16/17 is more common hence cheaper... Still a good price.
My next rubber will be nitto I think...
My car won't have an alignment until I replace the lower control arms
Read through that... It pretty well describes where mine are at. Just replacing the lower control arms altogether rather than pay time for dicking around. Also decided to replace both rear bolts/bushings. My brain sees suspension and wheels as matched sets... Best for balance
I think the lower fuel economy may be due to my wheel alignment being out of whack and my front wheels out of round. I had a fair front end shake all the way home.
(took it in for wheel alignment, but the whole front end is seized so they cant do it. Need to gather parts... )
Big difference in RPM... I think if I do 100 kph I am doing 2500 rpm in fifth gear.
My 10.5 l/100 km was rated over a 5 hour drive where I did a couple of runs at 160 kph to pass rows of dummies who didn't understand the speed limit. The only near accidents I witnessed were slow vehicles.
I never flip off drivers, not do I react to idiocy on the road any longer. I find that my brain switches to lethal mode if I allow it and I don't watch out for others. Had some scary things happen that way. All I do now is shake my head and look at the bigger picture... I go long for blocking...
Yeah, after going over it all is that I need both front lower control arms (with eccentric bolts/washers, etc..), both front tie rods (if they come as a set with the ends... not sure), and the L.R. lower control arm (with eccentric bolts/washer/etc...) Then I can do it properly. The odd thing...
From what I understood (and I may be 100% incorrect) you wouldn't really bother doing this unless you were going to sequential firing order instead of wasted spark. That would require a stand alone to control it.
Okay, next part of the car to attack... Steering..
I took my car in for a wheel alignment because I can't go above 180 kph without some shake-rattle-and roll... But they can't do one. My lower ball joints were replaced 4 years back and I have HSD coilovers on it now (lowered about 1.5").
I...
Drive on highway at 110 kph for 5 hours. 10.5 l/100 km (22 mpg)..
Not sure if I should consider this good... Lol
What's best RPM for fuel economy... That was at 2850 rpm...
Dropped my car off for alignment... Shakes at 100-130 kph. (60-75 mph)
Could be wheel balance... Not sure, but it hasn't...
I'm trying to imagine how you could physically have an oily surface on the headgasket, both sides. Doesn't seem possible unless your head "floated" and I can't imagine that happening. I can imagine a hairline crack in the head that could allow the oil into 1 and 2, but that should be visible...
I hadn't quarters done twice. Once to fix the rust and once to fix the work the guy did to fix the rust...
My body guy said that they are almost impossible to redo like stock because of the flat lip and the curve into the quarter. He got it very close...
After all the years of work, in...
I currently have the same leak. Going to get my glass guy to reclip the trim and make sure it's all sealed correctly. He did an awesome job on my front windshield and trim.
