desperately need help finishing my dream project

My car is a turbo and it has cruise... so no idea why it would be useless. As for the tstat housing... the IAT switch is different (very expensive OEM in Canada... but you can find them used). The plugs are all available and the TSRM describes them, but it looks like your doing a 89+ 7MGTE with...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

^^lol. That would have never occurred to me. Mine had a new honeycomb and I put it in without thinking..

    Sway Bar Opinions?

Is the strength is the same, then the weight is a bit more critical.

    Sway Bar Opinions?

That's the one spot that may be the saving grace for tanabe. Shipping on a light set would be better provided they are still as strong.

I didn't do mine, but mine sits on top of the runners under the fuel rail and then sits behind the timing cover on top if the valve covers

    Sway Bar Opinions?

The ST swaybar is probably the best price wise. I have to see what is available locally because shipping willbe pretty expensive on a single order due to weight. From what I'm reading, white line seem to be the most used on MA70.

desperately need help finishing my dream project

If you look at the photos here http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?147002-Project-88-MKIII-A-Calgary-build&p=1923560&viewfull=1#post1923560 The photos don't really show it though... You can see (a little) how the harness is under and threads up. It's a difficult area to show really...

Guess I should have named it intake manifold so as not to confuse. The knock sensors are below the intake manifold on the driver side of the engine. (Opposite the exhaust)

    Sway Bar Opinions?

I think what I'm wondering about is, how stiffer the car will feel with heavier sway bars. Do you notice any difference on bumps with shock transferral from one wheel to the other compared to stock? I sacrificed a fair bit of "comfort" just with coilovers, so wondering if I lose even more of the...

desperately need help finishing my dream project

You said something that worried me.. lol.. and I didn't want to reread it all. knock sensors are under the intake plenum (Driver side of the engine). 7MGTE has 2... 7MGE has only one. This is a Turbo car getting a turbo engine correct? Not a NA car (7MGE) getting a turbo engine (7MGTE)? Just...

    Project 88 MKIII - A Calgary build

Yep... I think it say without freon in it since 2002. Pretty well everything is new now. The compressor is definitely new. Had I known that I wasn't able to use my used compressor, I would have been a bit more prepared. The AC system isn't really that difficult to do yourself, but the potential...

    Sway Bar Opinions?

It looks like Tanabe would be the ones then... I like the idea of lighter.. and 10 bucks or 100 bucks is not a great deal of difference... really in the grand scheme of things. Just getting my car aligned is going to cost me almost 3000... I think Whiteline is probably the most used one...

desperately need help finishing my dream project

The water neck is where the thermostat lives (commonly referred to as the thermostat housing.. lol) It has 3 sensors I believe. I can't remember which ones are different, but I believe the top one (IAT switch) is different between post and pre 89. You can tell quite simply by looking at the...

    Basic upgrade list

Not really up to snuff on these, but from all my reading.. the Clevites should do you good. I don't think you have to be quite as "thoughtful" of playing with clearances until you start topping the 600 - 700 crank HP. Then you have to really be mindful of what and how you are doing them...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Got the A/C retrofitted for the low low one time cost of 1800 bucks... yikes! Everything looks new except the steel lines... lol. (was expecting 500-600 max... ) ... will I ever get a break? :D On a different note.. planning on doing the lower control arms next so I can get an actual factual...

    Sway Bar Opinions?

I have to replace my rear and front lower control arms so I can get a wheel alignment. Figuring this is the time to do sway bars. So far I have looked at: Godspeed swaybars - (from reading below... these are not considered any longer.. lol) Tanabe -...

    Project 88 MKIII - A Calgary build

Well... retrofit for the A/C done. Thanks to a poor purchase of a "rebuilt" used compressor (filthy and they wouldn't touch it at the shop) I had to get a full retrofit kit (which apparently includes a new(or reconditioned) compressor). Everything done and it blows cold, no leaks detected...

Sumeet on Facebook mk3 appreciation has good pricing for OEM. Rock Auto has all my Sienna and Tundra parts, but none of my steering parts for the Supra

    Basic upgrade list

Yeah headwork is needed for above 400 rwhp (remember... It's more hp at the crank) There are turbo upgrades that can still work on the BIC DDP. It's a matter of research really That being said... You have to keep it in perspective. A small quick spool turbo is a ton of fun. The large turbos...

Sound Performance - SP 6262 Turbo input

HKS longrunner cast manifold. Used a 3/4" spacer so that a QSV will just swap in. Sound performance SP6262 0.65 ar (or .64?) 3" vband with a tial 44 mm wastegate. I have the dyno sheet in my build thread near the end...
