Electrolysis nickel bonds at the atomic level - it's not a coating - nickel adheres quite well to cast iron and steel. If the plating shop used the same thickness as they do for corrosion, it should be plated on at a 0.001" (1 thou) thickness minimum. Like Grim said, it should easily withstand...
I practice shooting a 3" circle. Start at 15' - when you can put all the bullets in a magazine inside the circle at that range, move the target to 20'. Repeat as necessary to get the range out to 35' - 40'.
Practice shooting 2 shot drills - one at chest center mass, one right between the...
There's a reason you don't see it discussed much ;) Way over priced for what it is - there are better alternatives available for less $$$ - this is not opinion either. If you are going to pay that much for a quart of oil, buy Red Line and get the best there is. Or, you could buy Castrol...
Do not use that filter - it's purpose is very different that what you want to do. Use a Wix 24059

-Or-
A Wix 24070

Both have the correct thread to fit that...
Unless you have ARP stud nuts > 4-5 years old, a 14mm should fit the nut. A Craftsman 3/8" drive 12 pt 14mm socket fits current production ARP stud nuts and will clear the hole in the head. Use a 1/2" ---> 3/8" adapter to mate to a 1/2" drive torque wrench..
No -the air valve IJ speaks of is the power steering idle-up. It's purpose is to increase RPM during idle/low speed, full deflection turns.
PPS is controlled by a solenoid to decrease steering response at high speed.
Been using this with excellent sucess as a seal dressing where the housing mates:

Yeah - It's the same thing that mechanics try to make out concerning motor oil. Myth, after myth, after myth gets passed along word of mouth until somehow it becomes fact...BS just keeps building on itself. Problem is it's never backed up with any data - the "experts" always just "shake my...
First, read this (sticky in this section):

Second, read this (linked in my sig):

After you have read both twice, we can talk at a level so you will...
You are confusing torsional deflection (the angular deflection of a torsion shaft) with the amount of force (torque) applied at the bolt.
Torsional deflection of solid shaft can be expressed as:
θ = 32 L T / (G π D4) where:
θ = angular shaft deflection (radians)
L =...
Don't know who told you this, but is is way wrong. A straight extension on a socket does not have a significant effect on setting torque.
I'm glad you posted this disclaimer. Here's why: ARP bolts are limited to 75 ft/lbs on an aluminum head due to the difference in heat expansion for...
The base stock is not the same - synthetic oils (the true ones) use PAO or ester as base stock. Many on the market say "synthetic" but in reality use an extensively hydrocracked mineral oil.
The additives are similar, but are formulated for the base stock. Not necessarily more - take...
