    Which head gasket?

The only stopper type MHG is made by HKS - the block/head decks will require machining to a RA value of 30 or less. I highly suggest you pay attention to correct stud preload and the ARP torque spec.

Yep! The .45 frame is NOT suited to that round...believe me, the Glock is far better recoil wise. Not nearly the muzzle rise and most of the recoil is transfered in a linear fashion straight down the arm. It does require fairly frequent practice to stay proficient - I guess in that sense it's...

10mm is more common than you think Mike - it's very popular with mil personnel and the FBI still uses it. I got my Glock 20 back when they 1st came out and took it to Desert Storm with me. The ammo is expensive and can be difficult to find at times, but I reload and have no issues. I've hunted...

Not a good reason to base the decision on what handgun to choose. ;) Full frame auto - .45 is superb. Compact carry gun or if you want a bit less recoil, .40 cal. If you really want to flatten them, get a 10mm (now that starts getting expensive ammo wise) A handgun is a somewhat expensive...

    Give a Glock 22 a go...essentially the same frame as a 17 ;) I'd use 9mm if I had too, but a .40 cal is far better in a pistol IMO.

    Motul 8100 0W-40

Both ester and PAO do a great job of cleaning deposits - ester is a bit better, but the difference is insignificant. Ester is used in many PAO base oils - would not surprise me a bit if Motul is one of them. They do make extensive use of esters in their oils.

Engine Missing - results of all tests - Please Any Ideas!

Vf is used for O2 sensor feedback control - that is not your problem. Vs is intake air volume input - that is what you want to look at. I would start by simply unplugging the AFM connector and re-insert to insure a good connection. The ignitor is indeed grounded through it's case - there's a...

    Increasing Idle A/C Performance?

Name calling and flame war deleted... I just want to make sure everyone that reads this understands the concept of "illegal" - you might not get caught, but you are liable for the results if an accident happens. A lawyer would be all over this in a civil suit. That's because it's "dangerous"...

Heater core coolant hose melts.. any tips?

A BHG will cause combustion gas to enter the cooling system - that can cause an over pressure. Do this: - Get a NAPA Block tester to check for exhaust gas in the coolant - Look for bubbles in the coolant overflow bottle with the car at ops temp - they will be coming out of the rubber hose...

ARP head studs, main studs, rod bolt questions

I would definitely use ARP for the head - studs are the best. Make sure you use the ARP torque spec and moly lube included in the package. If you go with ARP rod/main bolt, you will need to get the rod ends resized with the ARPs torqued down. Same for the mains, except that's a line bore...

A couple of issues after initial startup - Please help

That AFR at cruise is perfect...a bit lean at idle, but should not cause any problem. You could re-set the ECU by pulling the EFI fuse and let it start it's learned values from scratch. More important is what AFR shows during high throttle runs. Adjusting the AFPR is setting a "global value"...

A couple of issues after initial startup - Please help

I was thinking the same thing, but in post #1 he says there are no codes. Taking the Neo out of the loop should show a code if the AFM is at fault...it could be masking it since the Neo modifies the Vs signal. I would check the AFM connector to make sure it's secure ;)

A couple of issues after initial startup - Please help

Eliminate the Neo as the cause of the problem...i.e. completely disconnect it and run the stock ECU wiring. With the Lex/550, FP needs to be ~30 psi with vac ON. Test the TPS per the TSRM: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=101 Make sure you get a smooth...

    Motul 8100 0W-40

That's what I understand, unless Motul changed base stocks on me (entirely possible). Even if it is a PAO, you can still run it 8K easy (GC is PAO)...Motul is an excellent oil, especially for free ;)
