Get a 7M Starter why? Because it works and it's for a 3.0L Long stroked engine. It'll spin a 2j with ease and a 1j like butter.
Get a reman unit if not go to toyota and buy a new one.
Yea its a pain in the ass to do but do able. Just prepare. Lots of blades and a sawzall... I dont recommend heat like my friend did with my car he ended up fucking up the tabs on my sub frame after i told him repeatedly what to do... he "knows" what to do.. yea now its a pain to get my alignment...
Copied this from my friend who's throwing a meet. Its diverse group of people so he extended the invite to the supra family. Come if you want.
"I swore that i wouldnt throw another meet. Ok... So i lied! Its time to bring back my epic beginning of the season meet. Just like old times. I know...
For the ATI damper it recommended 1" longer then original because of its size. The 740K6 belt was infact too short. I will look into both part numbers this week.
Holy tits, +1 for a great thread i'm reading through it now to try and add my own input on it if everything hasn't been covered yet.
I am personally running a 2.5MM Boost Logic Headgasket, i also use a sandwhich plate on my oil filter housing as a turbo feed and i run the line under the timing...
i had a similar issue when i got mine from BIC but i was just placing it with the wrong set of holes. Double check with the seller and ask him to look at his receipt with driftmotion. If it is indeed incorrect, he should refund you your $$. If it is indeed correct place them correctly.

Just an update, coolant connect temp fixed with one from a late 90's camry i had in the yard, same exact plug, we have two 09/10 camry's but cant cut those off the harness as they only have 10K miles on them.
It starts and idles perfect but now has a miss every so often so its time to track...
i crashed at 130+ althought it was not a blunt force hit, i had no injuries. If i had hit a strong stationary object i'm sure i would of died but, i did rear end a car and a center divider. Say what you want i paid my due for that mistake... But yea they are pretty safe but nothing compared to...
Fixed the rear cps connector and replaced all coil pack connectors while i was at it. Woooooo she runs!!! But the water temp sensor plug now needs to be replaced (found out why i had code 22 - wire broke at conenctor). Good thing that one is easier to replace then the rear cps.
