Need help with engine damage (pics)

He has one of them in the oil pan- they are chewed up as they appear to have ridden past the piston and down the cylinder wall. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

Even still- they shouldn't pop out so severaly. Either the locks are too small or the pistons may machined off. Guess we will wait for piston 6 to see, but I just can't see improper install at this point, they aren't that tricky. Also that's tacky music in that video lol. Sent from my X10i...

That's what I'm trying to figure out. You either really mucked up or there is a design flaw of the piston. The wrist pin fit between the locks pretty tight? You couldn't move it an excessive amount? Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

Do you have a picture of the lock installed? It looks like the expected damage when a clip pops off. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

Remember they are probes, so who knows if it would even be right. =] That looks like they were not fully seated. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

    Rear BBK anyone?

It was quite a few years ago I made the statement that 96% of mkiii owners are cheap. There are owners that do it right without question, and you will have a customer complain about $5 to cover 5 feet of hose and zip ties. Brakes are not something to mess with. I really don't understand why...

    TIS Anyone?

We buy enough Toyota parts we get free subs. I love it , but its better on newer cars with the ewds. Also 1990 is all the further back they go. I prefer the tis manuals because ill print the information and I get to draw notes on it, where I get in trouble whenever I draw in the manuals...

    my 1990 supra build!?

For having the injectors- you want to have them actually tested and cleaned, or you'll be right back in the same spot. Aaron at drift motion just got some fancy equipment, and we sublet out to a company in GA that's pretty awesome. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

    zero compression in cyl 4????

Anything else special about that engine? Might be worth looking at a whole motor. But your method will work to get it on the road, isn't the best but it works! Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

That's a melted piston not cracked. Get your fuel injectors checked. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

    NASCAR testing.

It is still a 4 speed transmission. My time behind a wheel of a cup car was on a short track. So much going on. They really are hill-billy engineering at their finest. Hell, a team found a old rail road tunnel and bought it, clamped off both ends so they could have a full speed run of their...

    NASCAR testing.

They have been running Joe Gibbs Toyota v8s but I think they are going to the trd engines. This isn't a engine you can get though- its a pushrod motor built to NASCAR spec by Toyota. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

    Bov

I've got it for my car and I install a ton of them. On a map based car you can run a filter on them and mount close to the throttle body and it works as a bypass valve to improve throttle response. Its not super loud and its really a air rush sound but is the best functioning bov out there...

    ACT or RPS???

Rps quality is not what it used to be. I'd suggest a look at carbonetic. We've pulled 5 rps twin disks in favor of the carbonetic. Very very light pedal pressure. Its a bit grabby as they don't like to slip but you can rebuild it yourself without huge bills. But if you are going rps or act...

    NASCAR testing.

Now that NASCAR allows the teams more data acquisition during testing I've heard that f1 and Indy teams have helped with the sensors and reading data and the response from them "how can this car do what it does" they go down the straights sideways. Our machine shoo actually built one of the...
