i use a msd balster 3 coil, the rewiring is pretty self explanitory i extended the ignitor to coil wires to the other side of car its really easy theres only two that hook up to stock coil, then i got a really short ig wire to shorten the ig wire length...strapped that coil down, and boom msd...

just try your best to snug the backs supports up with the body of the car... actually never listen to me cuz i do things in a very risky way but it still looks good in the end... but what i did is i took one of the wing pieces and pounded it into my car until i got a dent for a location piece...
with all of this information... i would check your differential for pinion gear play.. sounds more like a worn differential than anything transmission..
