the pully and the shaft had a ton of play in it and I had to pull the motor because it was spraying oil out like crazy. I could grab the pully and move it up down back and forth and i took off the pully and removed the driveshaft
it looked fine so im trying to figure out why it was loose and...
I have a 7mgte that is in perfect condition except that some how the Oil pump driveshaft came lose and was leaking oil. I removed the driveshaft and it looks fine so i have no idea why it came loose.
I tried searching but couldn't find much info, what does it take to repair this? can it be...
well i managed to get it pretty clean after a few fucking hours. i think i am gonna play it safe and install the stock head gasket and arp's. i should only push this motor to around 400-450whp
i have a another engine to build so i guess i'll have to wait to start making real power (550-600whp)
well I dont think getting the block machined is an option I only have a few days to get the car running and the only machine shop around here takes forever.
I will verify the deck is not warped by using a stright edge. but i need to know the best way to remove the stock head gasket crap left...
I am fixing my 7mgte which had a bhg. I already got the head machined and I'm going to be using a cometic mhg and arp's. The know the block should be lapped by hand but i do not have access to a lapping tool.
Those of you that had your block surfaced by a machine shop do i have to...
The first 2 pics is the 7mgte I just pulled out of my car (block needs rebuild). The rest are a "running" 7mgte that i purchased to replace it. look at the color difference in the head, I was planning on dropping this "like new" motor in my car. what do you guys think about the pics...

idle/part throttle (no boost, very light throttle) should be 14.7 but can go as high as 16.x - 17.x at idle
under boost (full throttle) the ecu will try and make it extremely rich usually around 10.x
perfect tune would be high...
i replaced my clutch fan with dual dsm elec. fans. simple wire to a relay and they work great. they keep the car much cooler in the florida sun. they just happen to both be the same height and width as the stock radiator.
best $20 ever, thanks ebay!
wow i hope you havn't been driving for 3 years with it like that. i just put my walbro in and would have been a quick job if everything wasnt so rusted. the rust made the fittings on the line to the fuel filter a huge pain in the ass to remove. good luck and i hope it not to rusty.

i dont have any emission stuff on my car so should i block them off or loop the 2 together or does it not matter?
