How important is this sensor? Any problems with performance if it is not plugged in?
This is the sensor on the 1jz Intake manifold next to the throttle pcv hose.
Very easy to change. Remove the top Coil plug cover ( Allen bolts)
The valve covers are a two piece design. It is easier to remove from the head if you take off the throtlle linkage/ so you can lift it straight up.
Fix and keep your hydro fan. I personally haven't seen a fan setup move that much air in a car..
IF yourHydro fan is not spinning fast enough, then there could be a couple of reasons:
1st, is the sensor plugged in at the bottom of the radiator? Are you using a 1jz radiator? The is a sensor...
I agree.....You have to take this to a dyno to fix the a/f to make it driveable. YOu can't just slap 550s/Lexus afm and expect your car to drive like it was from factory. It may do well when cruising and idling, but it will definitely not act right when boosting or driving agressively...
