lol not uncommon. We had to setup a live cam to catch the culprits at work helping themselves to bottles of picante sauce. Video showed they were emptying our full bottles into a bottle of their own lol. Should have seen their faces when they were shown the video....fired on the spot.
I agree. I always wax the engine bay too whenever I wax the car as long as it is clean. Waxing removes a lot of grime and residue quite well in there.

There is only maybe one or two photos floating around of turboes that were supposedly glued together. Others are mostly normal failur that people say happens quicker than name brand turboes. I've tried searching before...not much!
You know you may be onto something if that many caps failed. I remember going through the same thing with back flow into the reservoir on my 2j swap. I tried one and decided to get a OEM cap from the dealer and never had issues either.

Also, do you know what paint matching is??? I've heard this term in detailing.

I had mine done in gloss black powder coat and they looked great against the coil pack cover ( painted silver.) Red should make it show real nice.I voted - go black.
patience....pb blaster and really soak those turbo bolts if you can get to them. If you can get to a shop with a lift, that will help, or else it is back breaking work to get those twins off. there is no easy way.
why don't you post a few pictures of the whole setup.
