Its nothing. That is the stuff they put on it to prevent vibration/moisture of /in the circuits etc inside the map sensor. Mine has done that as well. Its the heat causing it to melt. Mount it off the manifold.

if you are installing the 1jz in a MKIII, you don't need the oil level sensor, there is no provision in the US MKIII to monitor oil level. However, you will need to replace the oil level sender so you can see oil pressure.

lol..that is a USPS box..not UPS .. lol. I think its on the shipper to pack it better. that packaging is not designed for heavy turbos with studs sticking out.. Otherwise..that is some serious bling on that housing . Looking good.
