I had similar symptoms with an optima yellow top battery that turned out to be faulty. It would charge fine, start fine when charged, and pass a battery load test, but if it sat for 2-3 days it would lose a huge amount of charge(even when disconnected) and be very weak. Probably internal current...
The modules I mentioned do both auto up and down and have current sensing so the windows stop immediately upon resistance (or when the windows are shut). Windows down at the push of a remote button is handy to vent the car on a hot day from inside your house when you are about to go for a drive.
My installer installed 2 of these into my driver's door: http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autoloc/detail.lasso?itemid=WC1000. He needed another couple of wires fed through the door jam. These modules give you one-touch auto up/down windows from inside the car but also work with alarms for up/down.
Yes C16 gives enough octane, but wouldn't the EGT's and pistons be dramatically cooler with meth/water injection? Particularly if the original poster of this thread is running stock internals? (Not sure, just asking!)
Yep. My car is so unusual, most people have no idea what it is. I get asked often in parking lots, and just yesterday a guy gunned it to pull up beside me and shout out his window at 50mph "What is it?" :D
Also: do you suppose it would be better to rig up my solenoid line to the valve to be normally open? And then have ign 12v to close the solenoid while driving and have the hobbs switch interrupt at the chosen psi? Otherwise the valve would be stuck closed if the switch or solenoid failed (at...
I agree. Looking at one up close, you can see that some thought and engineering went into it.
It's funny how looking at the cross section of a divided housing, it almost looks as though it was designed specifically for the SP valve. Instantly half the nozzle size and double the gas velocity :)
Is this the magic grease of choice then? :)
By the way, I got the Energy bushings here, and they are black. Someone mentioned that they are graphite impregnated, but I did not see that anywhere on the box. True or false?
Btw, I checked all of my current stock bushings and they are fine, and...
I'm soon going to install poly bushings into my car. But I was reading on some other car forums that people have experienced binding and squeaking after 6-12 months of daily driving, even though they lubed the bushings at the time of installation. They said they had to relube them and should...
Last time in my lane they had a drug-sniffing dog standing up with its paws on the back bumper of the car in front of me. I would have been pissed if the dog scratched my candy paint but would not have wanted to bitch at them. Those guys are such hard-assed power control freaks!
I think Keith has the right info for you. Randy did this to my car, and I think he used a similar product. Looks nicer than fully shaved moldings, IMHO.
