Yes, still running stock ECU with SAFC. I think we pulled 8-10% more fuel with the 50/50 mix and the biggest AEM nozzle. The kit made it around 1.0 AFR richer at WOT. With stock timing at the dyno on a hot day it started to knock around 24-25 psi. We then played with the base timing a bit and...
I think many guys use straight meth with the AEM kit, even though the manual says not to. Ken, I'd guess that water/meth would probably overcool a temp sensor, as the wet meth evaporates off it.
I set my AEM kit to start spraying at 5psi for two reasons. If I'm going up a long hill it is easy...
I can't read this boost gauge. Anyone know which one it is? What kind of boost is he getting low in the RPM range?

The engine isn't quite as hot as the body! I will go all out on the 'bay some other time down the road. It's reliable and hauls ass, so it's not urgent.
Mine was cracked there as well as completely separated at the front right diff bolt. The diff was basically only being held in by 3 out of 6 bolts, and would have surely torn out had I not noticed it. 7M torque is to blame :D
I'm still on stock ECU with SAFC. Fuel cut shouldn't be a problem at 15psi. I do have the Lexus AFM adjustment screw all the way out and barely hanging on with some tape on the threads ;) With water meth I didn't hit fuel cut even at 28psi, but that's pulling 22+ on the SAFC to compensate for...
Yeah, go to a performance driving school, and push the limits of the car on the track, not the street. Best way to learn and find the limits. My car has around 450 and I've had some real close calls... ;)
I've been reading the SF thread. Those VVTI spool and numbers are incredible. Just do what this guy did, and run a meth kit for 22psi, and you will achieve your goal. I might be doing the same thing down the road with my Billet 35r and spool valve ;) Although a budget-breaker, imagine the spool...
My car came with Flex-a-lite's. The controller box melted, and on top of that, the rubber seal on the frame fell out. I got a new seal, and it's already starting to separate and fall out.
If you want an ACT XTSS, you should be able to get one for around $550. I bought mine from a vendor that used to be on here, CKanderson. He said they would sell them to HP Freaks who sells them for $750.
The handling on these coilovers is awesome, I won my AutoX category in Suprafest '06 on Tein SS. I sold my set to Grimjack because they were too stiff for my tastes. Either way, you can always sell them for what you paid!
I never realized this until now, but I get the same thing as well. So my spool time could probably be greatly improved with a standalone and custom tuning
50psi base fuel pressure, and the AEM meth kit adds fuel as well, let me pulll about 22% fuel on the SAFC to avoid fuel cut!
This setup and tune has been awesome and totally reliable on the street!
