So true, I remember back when I was a teenager with my first Mk2 Supra, and figured fuel filter replacement was part of a regular "tune-up". It was incredibly hard to reach and replace, and cost way too much. I wish I had known to just leave it!
Not a Supra, but still great to watch.
Apparently upgraded turbos, 17psi, 645hp, 650tq.
Nothing beats AWD and staying in the engine's peak powerband!

Was it that stable with silicone lines as well? Or is that on your new setup yet to be tested? I can see now how a silicone vac line could flex and cushion the air pulses from the solenoid at 20-30psi, possibly lowering boost control stability.
I'll bet you were wishing you had chosen an AWD platform on more than on occasion. :biglaugh: Hooking up 600-800awhp on street tires sounds pretty ideal!
Hmm, the APEX'I hose is hard as a rock, and the silicone is certainly more flexible. Maybe I'll try replacing the silicone sections with the harder EFI hose and some heat wrap, unless I can find more of that APEX'I line for sale somewhere.
Good to know, I thought 2x WG spring was the general limit for EBC's. If I can get it stable with the smaller spring it would solve my problem. Were did you have your solenoid mounted Ian? Mine is on the fender area where the ABS unit used to be, so the lines are a bit long, 15"-18" to reach the...
It's a Tial 44mm. Well, I can go back to the 10psi spring, but then the boost is considerably less stable at the 21-22psi that I run normally, and won't hold 25psi when I spike it with race gas. With the Tial springs available, it was either 10psi or 13psi, but mine seems to go up to 14psi with...
I have an APEX'I AVCR boost controller that can control the amount of boost in each gear. When I was running a 10psi wastegate spring, I could successfully limit my 1st gear boost to 10psi, and get great traction at full-throttle. I recently had to increase my wastegate spring to 14psi and now...
Thanks for the pics. Your car looks almost exactly like my original plan: 3 piece wing, bomex sides, 89+ bumper, etc. I even bought all those parts only to sell them off when I changed plans.
I'm sure mods will move it, no worries. I really liked the Mythbusters where they got the hot water tank to launch like a rocket through the roof of the house.
I think he's talking about doing these light half-opened like mine. I think it might look Ok. Feel free to use my write up if you need help getting the flip up mechanism to move a shorter distance, it's trickier to do than it appears. I bought a set of TSX projectors that I'm hoping I can put in...
I built a permanent moveable prop out of a golf club shaft. It's super light and always there when you need it.

I think you would get a lot more bass out of these if the rear was left open. You'll notice that lots of factory cars have a 6" speaker and use the entire door as the enclosure and put out lots of bass, because it resonates in the larger volume of the door. When I worked at a car audio store one...
