Stock CT26
2.5 inch intercooler
3 inch downpipe
255 Federal RSR tires
Microsquirt on E85
16~ degrees timing
AFRs are mid 11s
First pass I hooked and it went 13.3 at 105 with 10.8 psi of boost
I upped boost on 2nd run and a clamp failed in 4th gear
3rd run it held but launch was...
This is for the people who are looking to turbo their NA engine. This will sort of be a how to or at least how I did it. I had a turbo setup with a RRFPR and it never really ran well at all so I changed just about everything.
It is a pretty cheap setup in terms of cost but it is a full...
Did you ever get a tune on this thing?
Not just a street tune.
You said you put only 1700miles on it but as far as I can tell its been 1700miles of burnouts.
Shit sucks could do a basic rebuild with it or 1.5jz with a factory bottom end and part out whats left of the 1jz.
How?
What transmission mounts/engine mounts you running?
Is the clutch not disengaging like it should?
You have 2 piece drive shaft?
Sounds like something is not right.
Pretty sure its not from too much power
I am not sure this type of setup can be done on sub 100 octane fuel
High boost on a small exhaust turbine + high compression = bad with low octane
Not sure what the exhaust back pressure was when running 25psi~ on this little of turbo but it had to be pretty insane
What sort of RPM on the stall does he plan on running?
I would think a 4,500~ rpm stall is needed unless he is running spray to get the boost up on the brake.
No OD with 3.5X gears in a street car with a 4k+ rpm stall will cause some pretty bad heating issues
If his engine RPM is below the stall...
With a TH350 you should expect 10% more loss over the 5 speed
TH400 you lose a little more than that
Also a high stall converter will soak up a good amount as well
Trying to street drive a car with no OD is a bitch
Do they have a setup that you can use a 4L80-E?
Hmm wonder how much the diff was moving with load or on deceleration
If it was moving a good amount that could be what blew the trans from throwing the driveshaft off angle
I would assume at least a pulley, tune and exhaust
This would put it in the 550~ whp range maybe more depending on pulley size
Stock GT500s(of that year) put down 420-430whp
Pretty insane how fast a little 2.5L can be with a little boost
What plug gap you running?
Weird how it was breaking up...
Pretty cool
Drift and drag this friday at firebird
Should try your luck out there
I think its 10$ to get in and 20$ more to drift + 10$ to drag if you want to do that
You need a Snell 2005 rated helmet
How did you come up with that math?
I know a guy that is making 840whp on e85 with 1200c injectors at 42psi fuel pressure with e85
you using an injector calculator? What BSFC?
Correction is method SAE not STD as well
STD would read 5% higher than an SAE
SAE is 77 degrees temp correction
STD is 68 with higher atmosphere pressure
Temps on the dyno were 91f
IATs were 120~
Timing was around 16 degrees on the final 2 runs(lower power runs are 13 degrees timing and 5-6psi...
