A few years ago I think it would translate into "Rice". That's my reaction.
The center vent is marginally functional...
I would like to see it on your car before I solidify my opinion though. I tend to be a meat and potatoes man but I can appreciate tasteful bling here and there. :sonic:
I like that last pic. :)
Just a few minor things to wrap up before Centralia...;)
I still think you should go with a full 2.5" hardpipe setup. There are a couple of ways to do it so you can use the Bosch BPV for now and then switch to a Tial without having to hack up the pipes too much...
Care to provide some data on that? I haven't looked into what material stock bolts are or what kind of tensile loads you get out of 58-75 lbs/ft. I'm only going on something I read about six years ago (SOGI writeup methinks).
I do wonder what kind of tensile load you get with a stock bolt...
What about one at a time while following the tsrm torque pattern? I would think the adjacent fasteners can maintain enough clamping force while a bolt is removed and replaced with a stud.
It would be a retorque, but better. :icon_bigg
edit: i must type slow...
I bought a well used one in a pinch, thinking I'd just use it for a month or two but I've put over 10k miles on it with no problems yet. It's definitely not the best clutch but FWIW it has handled it's first owner and my car at 300lbs/ft++.
Could you get into more detail on the bearings you use? I was reading through a trade journal a few weeks ago and the cover article was on developing more efficient bearings for high speed and high precision machining. I gathered that ball bearings struggle at high speeds due to "skidding" and...
It looks like I'll make it with my Supra this year! I really hope the weather is good again. Both of the Centralia meets I've been to had perfect weather.
Glad the spring compressors came in handy. I should be able to stop by your house in my Supe very soon :icon_bigg . It started but there was a little bit of a fuel leak...:nono: A couple of new copper washers should fix that today though.
It will be sweet to see your car on those...
Crush bent IC piping = NO GO! Get a few 180 bends from JC whitney and I can weld them up for you.
I feel so hurt that you haven't invited me over to help, or at least to stand around watching you work. j/k
Seriously though, give me a ring.
First time I've heard of this...
Anyone have any pics of a drilled out head?
Remember, the thing bolted to the back of the USDM head is called an EGR cooler.
I went in Oct '98, did my four years of active, separated oct '02, and I just passed the end of my total obligation of 8yrs. It was definitely a tough decision to get out. I would have re-upped during my second 'tour' in OEF (while stop lossed BTW) and as a 1A5 the bonus would have been around...
I just recently hit my 8 year service obligation date. I'm FREE! (right?) ;)
What should I expect for paperwork? Am I issued a new DD 214? How can I obtain a current record of service since my 'release' 214 doesn't have up-to-date box 13 and 14 info. I know what I did but it's nice to be...
It's been pretty civilized and I don't think it's a 'racism' thread. It's pretty much been a cultural/philosophical/manners thread.
If you think speaking a language other than english in public, in the u.s. of A is a big no no (with exceptions for commerce and Govt. functions) then I would...
It doesn't have to be six inches or less. Just keep the lines as short as practical. I've had an MBC and my current EBC solenoid attached to the AFM bracket with no issues over the past five years. Probably about 12" of line each way. Also, MBCs have at least a slight tendency to cause boost...
