you replaced a bushing in that spot of the mount? or you replaced other bushings? i am gonna take a picture today and post it. that other one sucks....
i found a kinda crappy picture. but its that center part which can move up and down. is there suppose to be a rubber bushing in there? mine has nothing and i think when i back up its the torque pushing the tranny up and metal hitting metal which is making my noise. anyone know for sure?
i found nothing wrong with the rear end or driveshaft. the only thing i noticed was the rear tranny mount. is there suppose to be a rubber gromet type thing where it has space to move a little? i know that makes no sense at all. i will try and find a pic in the manual or take a picture tom and...
i jacked up my car and checked out the pp and everything. all the stuff in there looks real good. i tried moving my driveshaft back and forth up in the front by the tail of the tranny. it barely moves at all. i think that it just the tranny moving though. i never noticed it till now but this...
my bolts are tight i checked them about a week ago and nothing changed. i doubt its the u-joints since its done it since i installed the new driveshaft. i did the clutch, pp, flywheel and ds all at the same time. i checked the driveshaft when i checked my bolts. there isnt any play in it that i...
the u-joints are perfectly fine. the driveshaft only has couple thousand miles on it. i am not sure on what bolts you are talking about? my driveshaft bolts that connect to my yoke? b/c those are all good too. they ewre brand new when i did the driveshft and i checked the torque not long ago. is...
on my old turbo cavalier, i had a lower radiator hose from an 855 cummins motor placed in my IC system. i had a sharp corner, almost 180 and i needed something that would bend in close. worked good when i had it on. i think it was 2" inside diameter though....
i know its been awhile since i have talked on this subject. i think the last post on it was aroud may and here we are in august now, but... i am still getting some noises from my trany area. i know its not my rear end b/c the sound not coming from there. i did put lsd additive in it though, but...
i have never heard of any cracking as well. if you are worried about that just wrap them. cracking is most commonly caused from fast temp changes. usually cooling down too fast. when you wrap it your header wont cool down as fast which helps it last longer. i have also heard the turbo blankets...
i am out here in washington state. i just put the cat on for the test. come home and take it out and put the test pipe back in. worked for me so i dont see why it wouldnt work for you too. cat makes a noticable diff when its comes to those test.
im runnin the shell Rotella T, i remember reading a big post on it awhile back saying it was safe to use on this engine. thats all we every use in diesel engines back home. no probs soo far!
this past weekend i put on my new rotors, pads and ss brake lines. eveything went well except for the drivers side front brake line. when i took off the hard line by the fender well, it had been tightened down too much before and flared the fitting soo much it wouldnt fit into the new SS line...
my a/c didnt work when i got it. but i bought a conversion kit from r12 ro r134a which came with sealant and gasket conditioner it in. works fine now, and only cost me about 40 bucks.
i am currently looking for a 7mgte to rebuild. all i really need is a long block. but i dont need the manifolds or turbo or anything. i cant see spending $1000 on something i am going to tear apart anyways. if i am going to do that i might as well buy a wrecked car. thing is i dont have any...
