or they just didnt see the thread about PVC piping... and get an FPR to set the fuel pressure because of the 255 fuel pump... but if you lost that bad to a stock supra... i would do a compression check on the engine. OR you have a bad boost leak... because with that 3'' exhaust you should be...

it could be the EGR cooler gasket.... because thats at the back of the head. but i was going to suggest checking your wastegate, and if its not shimmed, then shim it with 2 washers to tighten up the spring inside. because it sounds like your wastegate is bad, which is why you go so slow.

on two of the engines i've built now, you go easy for a little bit, under 25miles or less... and then change the oil, then i tell them to drive how they want, just dont get boost happy and try to push the max psi you think the turbo is good for... and never a problem from either motor. the...

open downpipe sounds the same... and doesnt cause nearly as many problems as that. haha

theres no reason to put the lex afm on yet... just tune the car with the safc first. then save up for some 550's. nice lookin car, but you got some pretty ghetto intercooler piping...

because he really didnt have a lex afm... haha because we all KNOW for a fact if you run a lex with 440's you'll blow the motor.

so theoretically, if a machine shop installs them, then they are the right plugs? at least thats what im getting from your statement...

you could pull off the downpipe and see if the turbo is covered in oil... because if its leaking from there and not the head or somewhere else then you'll see that. and its very possible that the turbo is leaking... OR it could be vavle stem seals, but it doesnt really sound like them...

when i went to my toyota dealer they wanted like $8 a plug or something like that?... it was a crazy amount IMO. and about the licks... no clue, go find a hooker!

i used a big flat piece of metal on my friends engine to bash them in, and i did it "dry" with no gasket maker, and his are holding up perfect. even on 20psi! shits crazy fast... but his fuel pump cuts out! hahaha i believe 'proper' is when you clean the hole, get the plug, put gasket sealer...

what are dorman plugs? i just know that they are 40mm brass plugs with some crazy sticky stuff around it! haha... they said that they usually sell most of the parts such as freeze plugs to napa and other auto parts store... so yeah... im guessing yours ended up being the 40.8? might go to yota...

yeah, even IJ said that it depends on the installation... my machine shop installed them, so im assuming that they cleaned, wiped shit away, and then put the sealer on, then went BAM and shoved the freeze plug in...(with very "special" tools im sure) and napaonline lists 40mm only...

http://www.legendofaces.com/Package_3.htm if all you want is the engine done right now... i would go with that pacakge. seeing as how machine work is about $1300~ + $3000~ (parts) = $4300~ so only paying $900 for somebody to build your motor almost complete, plus your getting a setup...

i wouldnt install the lex afm until you get 550's. there are HORROR stories of people running lean and blowing up! my friend melted his piston due to this... lex + 550 = a ok! les + 450 = not ok! (unless you have a wideband and a fuel tuning device) and just get an aftermarket gague, and...
