are all the transmissions in years 87-92 "turbo" supra R154?.... cause i'm suppose to be picking up a driveshaft today out of a 87 turboed supra... and i just did a 1jz swap, want to make sure i'm actually buying a r154 drive shaft and not a w58 driveshaft which i already have. please...

just a tip... you want to ask people in the for sale section for a person selling/parting out a harness... maybe you'll be able to work a deal on the pigtails

well now that i think about some "stock" turbo chargers have a built in mechanism to help with the surge i know the saturn sky/ pontiac solstice has this on the turbo... cause if there is no way to release or bypass the compressed air when the throttle plate closes, the boosted air...

again it's been asked on here and not answered unless i missed it... it there a difference between soarer and chaser harness ? i've used this guide and i'm not gettign anywhere.. which leads me to believe i may have a chaser harness... but the ecu connected to it says jzz30 but my 1jz has TRC...

i was going to say the same thing DIRGLE... it does return before the turbo..... so the 1GGTE "DIDN'T" have some sort of bov or bpv? how would it fight boost surge?

yeah a turboed engine with no bov or bpv will have boost surge which is no bueno!!! from my experience you benefit more by recirculating it... (plumbing it back in) it causes less boost lag... only reason some people don't recirculate is to hear the loud pshhhh of boost air escaping into the...

well there you go i stand corrected and my point further proven.... they sold me a chaser motor, a soarer R154 (i'm assuming), soarer harness and ecu.... btw i could tell the motor originally had a auto trans cause on the motor it came with the auto trans dipstick.... so i got a FRANKEN motor...
