so what your saying is there's a chance!!! any one have r154 driveshaft they want to let go? i've looked in the for sale section and even mentioned it in the wanted section.
hmmm you could use a w58 but would need a 1jz bell housing... you might as well go with R154 for the price of the bell housing... as far as auto tranny... not sure...
i've heard speculation that the front half (transmission side) of a r154 driveshaft can be combined with the back half (diffy side) of w58 driveshaft to make one comeplete drive shaft for someone who has done a 1jz swap.... can it be done?:x::x::x:
..... and GO!!!!
yea you can use a jzz30 harness and ecu but jzz30 harnesses usually have extra stuff that jza70 ij didn't like TRC... it's 2 extra plugs on the throttle body... so... yeah.
i used the stock lines haha ... i had to loosen the rack n pinion to get the lines get free and come on over to the driver side... worked good for me...
haha you'll still have to extend the plug that connect to your guages which are but the original location.... so yeah you will still have to extend some things...
plus there's alot going on on the driver side ect pedal, wires, steering column, guages.... alot of things can get snagged and...
what was the benefit of removing it in the first place?... it could be vaccum leak but if it was vaccum leak you wouldn't go -25 on the guage... maybe fuel cut...
i got my 1jz from a place out of canada called jdm tiger japanese... let's just say i called them and specifically asked for a jza70 1jz motor with r154 ecu and harnes... the guy says i have a couple we'll send one right out to you... next day he calls back and says the ecu is the only thing...
it should you might just have to weed out the extra use less wires that aren't need... i don't think it would throw a code or anything... i'm in the process of elimination the abs and trc on my 1jz swap... cause obviously i don't need it.
yeah passanger is better i think.... no extra holes to cut... if you can get a jza70 harness then you my friend are lucky... seems like all the 1jz left out there and harnesses are jzz30 still do able but wiring it up is differnet...
look in the for sale section
dudes are selling 1jz...
seals internally on the pump wiill eventually fail and you can say good bye to your compressor... plus r12 is expensive and in most states now adays you have to have a special license/ permit to even buy it let alone put it in avehicle... that's why most places charge a ton for old school a/c...
