What are the basic mods you need done on a mk3 supra

Guys, enough with the search police. Post up suggested search terms, or leave it alone. Back on topic.... I'd personally search the Articles section (found from the top menu on the left) for the term "Stages". That should find you a thread by CKAnderson...

What are the differences in the intercooling piping?

The intercooler has an extra bend built into it, so the IC piping is minus one bend.

What are the differences in the intercooling piping?

There are minor differences where the piping meets the intercooler. As long as you have the entire system from the 88, piping and intercooler, it will fit just fine.

    Overhead Light Short

Agreed. Incredibly common, and super easy to fix.

which do you think would be better?

Depends on what you want to end up with. If you're planning on putting a stock 1J in your car, running on the original wiring harness / computer, then get a front clip. If you want to end up with a high power car running a big single on a stand alone ECU, don't bother, as you'll only end up...

    Never Forgive Never Forget 09/11/2001

There are only 2 ways to deal with attacks of this nature. First, you can turn your military might against them, and prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that you are not soft, you are not going to forget, you are not going to forgive. You stop when they are all dead. No second guessing, and if...

    In a bind

Depends. If it fails a block test, you should drain it and leave it empty, IMO, until you can get the problem fixed.

    In a bind

There's a number of problems you could have. Could be fried rings. Could be dead pistons, or valves, or even the head or block itself failing. Get a block test done, this tests for exhaust gasses in the coolant, and will let you narrow it down some. If there are exhaust gasses in the...

Ah crap, look what new toy i ended up coming home with yesterday

I've had both an LG and a Samsung. (And a Viewsonic, and a Sharp, and so on...) Samsung wins hands down. There's so much more obvious thought put into the Samsung products... it's not even in the same league as LG. I'd take your model Samsung over the newer model LG any day.

    Project Innocence Restored

I've seen the welded over crank galleys before... it's the cheap ass solution when you either can't get the original plugs out, or you destroy them getting them out and can't find or afford new ones. Still nothing that I'd allow on my car... or for that matter any car I work on.

    defective mishimoto radiator

Thanks for working on PWR for me, Ian. Seems I've had both an early model, and now a late model with the fixes you sent them. The late model is much better.

    defective mishimoto radiator

I've seen Mishi's that fit much better than that. And a replacement is going to be *much* easier to get. I'd go for the replacement, and if you have problems with the next one, fall back to the refund.

    Looking for Radar detector suggestions

And for some counterpoint... I stopped using a radar detector years ago. I haven't stopped driving fast. I don't get speeding tickets anymore. I just speed smarter than I used to, I guess. I still have one in the car... it's been in the glove box for the last decade. If you *do* use one...
