i was just trying to make a point that it did fine prior to the stick of tnt inside it. it held up fine multiple beatings of 25-30psi w/ the sp67 on it.
it looks like at that point it only broke up in one spot.
damn shame about the intake. i still think aem needs to add the "danger to manifold" program on there. maybe you could have avoided it.
the car looks good and sounds even better. 16psi is still 13psi away from where that turbo even...
lol we all have warped skulls or we wouldnt dump this much time and money in these cars.
glad you didnt take that the wrong way. was just tring to figure out what you had in mind.
as far as the restrictions, you could make the case of sharper bends at 1/8 of the length of normal ic piping...
yeah i do too. a lot of things come into play tho. condition of the car, tune, parts you have changed, city % vs hwy % and most important how you drive it. off boost our cars are fairly low compression and just cruising around you'll get some pretty good mpg.
needs more cowbell?
interesting setup. im sure you have a master plan, but i cant figure out why you want the turbo there. atleast it will clear the hood lol.
it just seems things are more complicated with that placement. really long manifold runners w/ some funky bends and some odd oil...
just clarification for those who dont know:
research octane number = RON
octane rating is what is use in the US (R+M/2)
myself, i use 93 as a bare minimum and would prefer to run 110 all the time. but my car is nowhere near stock.
whoops i missed your post, sorry i didnt respond.
tuning is gonna make a difference as well as other mods of course. but even still 3200 w/ that setup isnt gonna happen imo. i think it would be more in the range of 3700. you might be able to get full boost a little sooner than that, but i...
it sure is. anytime you are running <~75% the ecu will operate in closed loop. meaning, it will try its hardest to run 14.7:1 a/f. boost + lean = boom. youd be lucky if the hg is all that went.
yeah that is odd. they had sold the pte injectors before, but these look different. the pte injectors are green and black, and now have a pte sticker on them.
on top of that, looking at the cost thats really cheap for pte injectors as well. im starting to have doubts now.
as a side...
yep had to do w/ rep. once you reached a certain score it italicized your s/n. rep is gone, but the s/n format remained.
i guess you could see it as an old school smart guy, or something lol
innovate has set retail pricing. everywhere should be the same price. you might find it cheaper on a group buy somewhere.
if you are a dealer for innovate (like me) and were to advertise for a cheaper price you lose your right as a distributor. why they are so hardcore about it i dont...
looks awesome!
i tell ya, their collectors are just works of art. you def spared no expense, and i think the final product will show that as well.
good luck w/ it!
