    First exhaust wrap job

Yeah.. I've done some research and it doesn't seem to be necessary, I think I will though just for those rainy days to prevent too much moisture from getting in.

    First exhaust wrap job

I heard when you cure the hi temp silicone spray it turn the wrap into a ..."brick" whatever that means, I took it as it hardens it up, and I didn't want the flex to stiffen so my plans were to source a fire blanket for it.

    Intake manifold removal

You should pinpoint it before you do anything by spraying soapy water around your engine until you find it.

    First exhaust wrap job

So today I did my first exhaust wrap job and I did it on my new BIC DDP. The whole time I was worrying if I was doing a good enough job and before I sprayed it with hi temp silicone tomorrow I wanted to know what others thought.. The string is only holding it in place until morning because I ran...

    Theoretical Question

Great responses guys, I really appreciate it! On a side note I now know not to use gas as oil, the hatch as a turkey frier, and to not drive my car into any sort of bodied water. :bigthumb: When in doubt, leave it to supra tech. :D

    Theoretical Question

You know I thought the same thing.. But check out this thread: http://www.fordf150.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=52453 A guy let his car idle with only kerosine for 10 mins and apparently all went well and his engine was clean... I find that so hard to believe though.

    Theoretical Question

Nice! Flush meaning simply pour the kerosine through the engine oil fill hole with the drain plug off?

    Theoretical Question

I saw this on a T.V. show lately and I was wondering what would be the best thing to do in the situation: The parking brake slips and your car rolls into a lake with the engine off and the water has the front end of the hood submerged but the back wheels are planted on the shore. You can...

Won't start after some fishy business..

Problem solved!! I starting checking resistances from the cps to the back of the ecu and some cps wire readings would jump as high as 160ohms! So I looked inside the base of the connector and just inside the insulation the wires were exposed and showing. Used another connector and wires and...

Won't start after some fishy business..

Mine starts, dips real low to about 300rpm then steadies itself, nothing like that tho. Yours was probably a little worse than mine but I'll replace mine soon. I actually didn't see anything in your vid about my issues right now. This is what mine was doing till I unplugged and plugged my...

Won't start after some fishy business..

I thought only the NE wire in the cps can prevent the car from starting and because of no spark at all? Please correct me if I'm wrong

Won't start after some fishy business..

Since I talked with ya on FC I checked my afm and my fuel pump resister. Fuel pump resister resistance is 1.2 when it should be .7 and afm is in spec but I got the car to start and run just by unplugging and plugging in my afm conenctor and then got a code 24 after. Intake Air temp Sensor...

Won't start after some fishy business..

Anyone have an idea? I'm about to go out and investigate. My guesses right now are possible spark plug fouled, no fuel, harmonic dampener slipped along its rubber on the inside or ECU is seriously tripping out of nowhere.. I dunno, drop me a line if you have an idea I'll be checking back here...

Won't start after some fishy business..

I was boosting strong in 3rd up a hill yesterday and out of nowhere boost simply STOPS and engine light comes on. So I limp it home. I check the codes and 34 is showing, Turbo Pressure Issue. Check IC piping, turbo inlet fins and go to start her up again. She fires right up and boosts normally...

    The hp of the 7mgte

Just be careful, I rebuilt my 7m with as much caution and precision that I was cabable of with a result of 180psi across all cyl's 70psi oil pressure cold start 15 hot idle but guess what, the head's now annealed cause it's an old engine with a life of 20 years of god knows what before I got it...

    smoke out the back

Turns out I have much bigger problems, Head is annealed to crap, everything I screw it it comes out with material and I have a crazy exhaust mani leak getting worse as the days go on. Junkyard diving this weekend for a cressida head, decking it, valve stem seals on that and all the good stuff...
