    EGR valve ?

It may not throw a code to alert inspectors of a malfunction (as pointed out earlier), but the ECU is still programed for it being there, as JJ pointed out:

    EGR valve ?

I would assume the Japanese ECUs are mapped differently than the US ones. And the US ones have it there to meet the EPA standards here in the US. If you run a stand alone, you are now in full control of what is going on and don't "need" it. But that is not to say that an EGR system would not be...

I have a question about optima batteries...

^^^I ran one of them in a car I use to own, served me well for over 5 years until I got rid of the car. It was under the name SVR - West Co. I still have it sitting in my room...why...I don't know. :biglaugh:

I have a question about optima batteries...

After I started having trouble with the red I started researching them and saw/heard a lot of other people with "stored" cars having the same issues with the red. My car sits a lot, I might run it once a month. MKIIINA: I don't know if you came out to the meet at BoneDaddy's we had a few...

I have a question about optima batteries...

From my research of them it should not matter, I've read that the yellow and blue are very similar. I steer away from the red top. I had a red in the supra for a while but it slowly stopped holding a charge, after a week of setting it would be below 10v. But I now run a yellow in the supra, and...

    EGR valve ?

Food for thought, your EGTs will climb....a lot without the EGR in place. Right now I'm running without EGR, while cruising down the road at 60ish I'm seeing 1300 *F EGTs :aigo: This is off boost/ crusing. I don't see a big jump in temp at WOT (1350 -1400 *F). FYI, I'm running a stock CT-26 at...

    Penny racers! Post'em up

Here is a step by step. This is easy to do ;) First start off with a side shot of the car, the more square the shot the easier it will be: Now make a copy of that image, you will need the original later so DON'T distort the original one. On the copied one, select the car with the...

Finally!! My air filter has arrived!

DING DING DING! :biglaugh: Yes, it makes getting trapped air out of the system a snap ;) I also have a "coolant system flush" connector by the heater valve, these are the two highest spots in the system, so any air will naturally go there and then I can burp it out.

Finally!! My air filter has arrived!

Thanks man, yeah that would defiantly speed up the proses;) BTW, I see you're in Denver, I'll be moving to Colorado springs at the end of April. Is there a supra crowd out there? EDIT: and here is a link to some more info on that air box, diagrams and what not: Air box info

Finally!! My air filter has arrived!

JJ: Thanks for the kind words ;) CRE: Thanks. Thanks guys, FYI, the lid is held on with short allen head bolts, about 2 min to take off and refill the tank ;) No biggie for me as I don't drive it enough to need to use the washer fluid that much. But yeah some thumb screws might be nice...
