yes you need the solex/del orto carb adapter fitting- 12x1.25 on the fuel rail end and its -6 on the outlet. from there, you need the automate 90* fitting w/ hose barb. it uses a 3/8" hose.
cant say i recommend using normal fuel hose from something that high pressure tho. if you dont want...
good luck man!
best thing i can tell you is between now and then go work on your launch. the 60' is critical. even if by some stretch his car is faster, you can outdrive him and win.
40 hp for 7 psi says its going past its efficiency. sure its making more power but def not in its ideal range. esp w/ the pressure drop of the stock ic that turbo has to be screaming. im sure the cooling effect of the nitrous helps quite a bit.
but in the world of drag racing, 40hp is...
the one on the left yes. i have no idea what the inj on the right is. the body looks nothing like the ones we sell.
more stuff i want to clarify.
ive never sold a 550cc injector from precision. they are 580cc.
and these days, i rarely sell those. i cant compete w/ the pricing on ebay...
just want to add a couple things. back when we first starting selling pte injectors in ~2001 they were just as dr j pictured w/ the scribing. in fact, i think dr j even bought those from us ;) i think it was last year or so pte started putting the precision turbo stickers on them. ive never...
dave h and i have been a dealer for precision for several years now. we have sold countless sets of 580, 680, 1000cc injectors. we have never had a bad injector. coming straight from precision they are flow tested and matched.
sure you can always get one bad one, im not saying that. just...
ok. go out to your car. turn the key to on, do not start. note how many lights are on the tems indicator. quickly jab the throttle and watch it go full firm.
The system itself is controlled by a main TEMS computer, that is given inputs from: 1) the engine ECU for vehicle speed and...
et street or et street radial? i just ask because the et street is usually listed as 26x10.5x16, not a mm number like the radial.
also i wanted to throw in be careful running bi-ply tires in the rear and radial tires in the front. they like to skate around at speed, esp on an IRS car.
you need some tuning. and then and most important work on your launch technique and/or get some drag tires. 18" wheels and low profile tires arent very good for drag racing.
at that weight and with the stock turbo 8.5 is gonna be hard to get.
with an upgraded ct26 it would be doable.
with the sc61 my car did 360rw at 10.5psi untuned, so that sounds pretty close to what you did.
i had a 1bar spring in my gate and didnt have any issues running right off the gate fwiw.
rich-
all the non-bb turbos we sell a -4 feed and -10 drain have been used and have never had a problem. however, none of these cars ran w/ a shimmed pump.
some of the guys run thicker oil and see higher oil pressure levels than stock, but i dont believe they see 70psi. im still not...
