i didnt think so, everything i learned on the DSM forums has been shattered here, so anything i remember from there i take lightly.
just go pull the GTE filter head off and see if the problem is fixed.
but i see why it would have to be the oil pump one first, as thats the first bleed off for...
did you assemble the engine with just oil or lube? and who did all of the work?
check your bearing clearances with plastigauge? also do you trust the machine shop that did the work?
doesnt too high a oil pressure 'wash' the bearings? i just remember that from my DSM days when people would say 90-100psi on a cold start up was bad...
but more importantly, its finding the cause of it, i would double the check the wiring to the sender, along with the grounds on the battery...
no no no, the 7m was the precursor... people just dont wanna admit it. haha
and if its really 86x86 like the 2j, then thats pretty cool. toyota was pretty smart.
wasnt trying to be super serious...
but doesnt a heavier crank keep the roational mass going a little easier so its a smoother engine? i know the flywheel and crank damperner help with this, other wise we would have 5lb flywheels on everything...
looks like all he did was taper the ends... which im sure with 12 of them it adds up.
i like the OEM crank... nice and heavy keeps it smooooth. haha.
hopefully my supra idels like my moms van... hella quite.
if you think about it. a 2jz supra with 700hp at the crank. vs this supra. i think it would be hilarious to watch.
they knocked off a 1/3 of the long block weight just by switching to a 4 cylinder.
he didnt just 'pull' on evos. he was walkin them like they were nothing. i thought iheard him say a few things because the evo was going so much slower than he was... haha. and i love how he never leaves 3rd for the majority of the race.
he probably read somewhere in the BC Crank intrest thread where someone said that because its heavier it loads the engine better to give you more boost.
7m>6m
there was a reason for the change.
and in case you didnt notice it dropped the weight to 2700lbs... thats DAMN good for a supra. so 700hp + a LOT less weight. i bet it would pick on a lot of its brothers with 2jzs.
compare it to the other side, it may not be that obvious, and it may just be a loose bolt, which is what it sounds like. because if the tire moves back and forth a lost adjustment bolt could do this... happened to my friend driving home...
