kurt had not so nice things to say about the suspension.
nothing went our way :3d_frown:
did get the afc and brakes finished tho. i left for general tso chicken, not sure what else is off the list.
i'll let kurt fill in the story.
yeah 500hp is a little vague. pump gas boost or race gas boost? a gt35r can make 500rw, but not on pump gas boost level.
be careful throwing around turbo sizing. a gt4088r and gt4088 are not the same size, nor is the gt35 and gt35r.
the bigger the turbo, the more hp at a given boost...
kurt-
you have my number if you need any help. you know im a cripple but i can handly offer advise, help w/ wiring and drink all your beer.
i should be around all day tomorrow.
whats worse is people that as soon as the car is started they rev the piss out of it.
i let mine idle for a bit before driving tho. not just sit there til it reaches full temp or anything, but i usually wait a couple min til the temp gauge hits 140 or so.
i too agree. we did bud's supra and it was a huge difference. we used the stock wiring as a trigger for a relay. it was some time ago, but i think we used either 12 or 14g for the lights.
as far as the silverstar comment, i have them on my truck and they are a lot better than stock. ok...
check for ect codes. if there is one, that would explan the mpg. w/ a code, the ect will go into default shifting and will not lock the converter. w/o the converter locking, your mpg goes all to hell.
it isnt the power level, its the way several people go about getting there. ive seen several higher hp cars, that while they are high hp, a lot of corners were cut getting there. at that power level, a short cut bites you in the ass quick.
but on the flipside, ive seen them built well and...
again, if you had the right backspace you could run 15's in the front. problem is, they dont. you have to run spacers.
also, you guys have to be careful comparing radial size to slick size. radial tires are rated as section width. i.e. sidewall to sidewall. thats why you find some 255's...
ah i thought your name looked familiar.
williamb82 on here has the adapter for the tranny.
for what you are looking at performance and price id probably go w/ the non-bb gt42. right now the smallest a/r is a t4 1.01. but we are supposed to be getting the new .96 from pte some time in the...
all you need is a spacer on the front to run 15's.
and you dont have to worry about me saying they would look bad. id put 15's on my car before id put 19's or stretched tires.
26" or 27" would work well. the taller the sidewall you can fit on there the better.
yes, thats exactly what i was trying to say.
there was a local guy that used vise grips on his return hose. it was adjustable too! if he needed more fuel pressure he just clamped them down harder. true story.
have you considered a gt42 or gt45? not sure what price range you were looking for or what your size limitations are.
as far as the auto. there are a few people that make adapter kits that bolt to the front pump. from there, you would just need a hybrid converter made.
btw, where are...
derek-
there isnt a blue wire, only purple so that must be what it is.
the yellow and white are for the airflow signal when you have a maf/map
as far as the reset, not sure which model you have. in the menu there is a selection for reset all. it might be under etc, i dont remember off...
same here.
not sure about dean, but i know dave hall used to sell them back around 1999. i had thought reg in canada had them as well, but not 100% on that one. perhaps those were the hks versions? he is hardcore hks.
either way, i know 3 people that have lost their motors on mod'd stock...
