ok here are some conclusions that lead me to the ecu. i just checked my wiring with a multi meter and there is no connectivity between my sheild and my center wire on the thinnet so wiring checks out (ecu harness unplugged from ecu). but i noticed as soon as i connect the harness back into...
took the car out this morning code 52. now am def not a noob when it comes to wiring so i know my wiring job is good, this is also my 2nd knock sensor, and the first one does the same, and i know the 2nd one came off a working motor. so maybe my ecu? does anyone have a spare 88 turbo ecu...
now when i i've been doing my rewires i been using thinnet wire (old 10base2 networking wire (BNC)), should i try using higher grade digital audio wire? the coaxial kind? or should the thinnet suffice?
redo all of what? the wiring? i'm gonna rewire it again with a cressida KS connector tonight, it looks like the same kinda but it looks like it will fit tighter ( i even threw in a cressida KS)
i have an idea, i know some people actually disabled their knock sensors, so how bout this what if i put a resistor on say where the back sensor should be and just use the front one (i am na-t so i only have 1 anyway) would this be a better solution than spicing a single sensor to two connections?
maf is located in front of the tb. i am running stock boost right now, but when i adjusted my ebc i noticed it hitting at 14psi then fc, i don't plan on running 14psi tho, just trying to get back to my 10psi. and since i know i turned fc off i was jw why was it even there... i mean its great...
i did tuning with the wot switch when i had a WB in the car. it was tuned at 10psi. I just found my old post when i tuned it:
aux = c
base = 2
idle = 1
mid = 3
wot = E (11.6 a/f)
My setup is a maft in blowthrough.
hope that helps. the WB was taken out of my car since it belonged to my...
hey guys so i started adjusting my ebc and i noticed that i am hitting FC at around 14psi. I have it disabled on the maf translator but the car still has a fc. anyone know whats up with it? it could also be my ebc which is a profec b... i noticed that if i turn the adjustment just a tad i...
na-t on gte electronics, single knock sensor with a singe wire run to ecu. ecu is spliced about 1" from its connector and the 3 wires are soldered together. everything worked fine for a couple of months after the conversion then it started acting up and i replaced the wiring and its all the...
another thing i was just thinking.. could my car just have bad grounds? maybe i should get something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/APEXI-SUPER-GROUND-STABILIZER-GROUNDING-SYSTEM-WIRES_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6763QQihZ021QQitemZ310012180386QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
well i started getting code 52 again so i found some more thinnet wire are work and rewired everything and the same thing is happening. could my sensor just be going bad? i get this code like every couple days. my setup is a na-t with gte electronics so i only have 1 knock sensor. I have...
i did my headgasket by myself for the first time last spring break. it was pretty easy. i used the oem toyota head gasket and arp studs not bolts and torqued them down to 81lbs. This is with my na-t. as for the surfaces, i guess its your decision based on how many miles are on the motor...
