i dont have a 'smoke screen' its just trailing behind me when i drive away, i cant even see it in my mirrors.
and my compression is 160psi across, so... i know its not my rings.
100-150miles or so? pistons were wiped clean with lint free clothes prior to the head being put on.
the car is 100% stock, stock routing for everything. new vacuum lines all around. new hoses for all of the PCV lines.
im not 100% confident in the machine shop that did my work, i was...
in all honesty that doesnt look that 'professional' to me... the vavle cover just has a little filter on it, it has two different power steering res. (maybe ones a catch can?) but that one on the right just looks like an accident waiting to happen. p/s fluid is flamable, just remember that...
if im buring too much oil i most likely wont pass smog... so... no smog, no sell.
well... i can get it smogged for $200 but i would much rather not do it that way...
im jobless right now... im using the money from selling my other supra to finish this project. granted i just made 250 working at my old job for 3 days... but still..
Performance techniques - 275 for a standard rebuild, AND its 2-3 day turn around... so far there look pretty good
extreme...
thats identical to my 'trd' oil cap that i bought. the only problem i have with it, is that when the engine is hot, the cap is hotter. haha
but you could make your own custom sticker to put on that, and it would look pretty cool. it even has the seal around the inside edge.
If im just going to sell the car whats the point of the 57trim? so i can just hit fuel cut allll day long?
my dad is working out getting my car painted by a place... and depending on how everything works out, that will determine what i do.
if i can get it all done for 400 shipped and back... i'll be more than happy. but i'll see what otheres post in the morning, and tomorrow... cause i dont wanna base my decision off of one person!
thats a hell of a deal for 675... the ceramic was probably a good $75 of that... and it got an 'upgrade'... hmm... i'll be sure to call them tomorrow for sure then.
the most logical would be to buy the flange, get it welded to the IC piping... so that way you can always remove the bov later to clean it and what not.
the only problem i have about DM... is that, it only costs $50 for or whatever for the upgraded wheel... i mean... if all i want is a stock rebuild why is it so damn expensive? which is why im shopping around... i may just bite the bullet and get the 57trim... but i honestly dont see a point in...
(an extreme example, but still)
so your saying if i took my car to driftmotion, and had a FULL ON built 2jz ready for over 1000HP+ dropped into my car along with a glide and a custom rear end, and then i showed up one day saying that "oh i never signed anything"... you would serisouly want...
I found a place in texas... but not majestic. heres my list thus far:
Performance Techniques - san bernadino CA
Extreme turbo shop - Florida
blouch Turbo inc
G-pop shop - springdale, AR
(375ish)
Turbochargers.com - Houston, texas
($275 just to rebuild, no new wheels or anything)...
compression is good. and i severly doubt that i smoke at an low speed cause of my GTE filter housing... oil sender is new.
now, if you dont have any info relating to the topic, please dont bother posting... i need info on turbos, not my engine.
my dad was watching me drive away in 1st gear...
