so I have an hks bov (bov only), i brought it to a local muffler shop and they said that they couldn't do anything because i didnt have the aluminum flange. i saw on a site that they had both steel and aluminum flanges.

so should i get the aluminum flange one to weld the bov to? and would i have to get an aluminum pipe also to weld it to? what do you think would be the best/cheapest way to install my bov?

thanks.

the most logical would be to buy the flange, get it welded to the IC piping... so that way you can always remove the bov later to clean it and what not.

thanks for your input. but i haven't upgraded my ic piping or ic yet. also isn't it better to have it closer to the intake manifold? is there any other suggestions?

get naked & boost a supra
get the steel flange and have it welded to a new ic pipe. you can replace the hard plastic pipe above your accordion hose with a piece of aluminized steel.
the problem with an aluminum flange is that you have to find someone who can weld aluminum, there aren't that many around me. then coat the pipe in your favorite paint or whatever.

You want the BOV/BPV as close to the throttle plate as you can get it, assuming it's BEFORE the plate.

That being said, on a stock setup, grab a piece of steel piping to replace the stock plastic piece above the accordion intake hose, have the FLANGE welded to the PIPE, then mount the BOV to the flange as it's supposed to go. (as in, NOT welded!)
