Here is my project, for those of you who are actually interested in this.
It will be run off of 7M electronics, with the 7M cps (forgot to snap a pic). eventually, will either run it off megasquirt or stinger.
Time for an update.. 7M and R154 are out.
Thanks to Randy from BIC motormounts, ARZ for the aluminum -10 flange, and Jeff at Champion for the 1JZ bellhousing.
The turbo is a Master Power "T70", w/ a .68 A/R. Mike Turbo was having a special on it, I got it for under...
LOL Chris, you arn't an MKIII owner.. well.. you are.. but you're a wanna-be MKIV owner.
And foreverpsychotic, it's a lot of work.. kinda. but you should definately look into it if you have the means to.
There was a bright blue 7M swapped S14 on ebay a year and a half ago. Talk about an ugly swap.. everything was cramped, but I'm sure it got the job done.
I dunno man I might still do the 7M electronics.. but it's looking doubtful. I'm possitive I can get the motor running off the 7M ecu with very little work, I should do it because it would be so simple. It would take less than an hours work of soldering, and switching some coolant sensors...
where's a pic of that black 1JZ Supra with the purple valve covers and polished everything? I'd love to see that one again. Pictures were from an article or something?
Use the JDM 2JZGTE ECU, Wiring harness, and sensors, then use the output from the CPS for ignition (it works in theory), wire the injectors to be high impadence, and Ditch the AFM.
This would give you COP and a MAP system, but would be a lot of work.
Thanks for all the info! I went with the cometic BTW. Do you have any more info on the Mustang tensioner? Mine is infact ceased, and in the garbage can.
ehh, I don't feel like buying lines ;)
BTW: Can you move your drive belt tensioner with your hands, or even your entire body mass? I can't. Seized?
AND: Anyone know a good place for affordable 2JZGE HG's?
My next obstacle will be a PS AND AC delete... I think I may have to apply the PS pulley to the idler pulley, after some extensive machine work of course..
If that won't work, I'll keep the PS and build a custom mounting bracket, as the PS pump relys on the AC pump for support.
