same.. but it seems to be more concentrated.. less general.

true, also less BS and misinformation. there are soo many people that have done a NA-T on that site, that if you have any question, they will get back to you wiht something other than, "just drop in a turbo motor, its so much easier".
the name of the game is more bang for the buck, so lets bang :)

is he the janitor or is he a high boosting na-t guru that does oil changes for the local toyota dealership.... call a speed shop... like http://www.boostwerx.com or www.sound-performance.com or some other shops that actually do na-t setups and tuning and not oil and brake changes...

ill check tomorrow when i go to "the shop"(yes thats the name, google it its a good place) to ask about my hiring status. there is a MKIV sitting on the lift and a MKIII in the lot. and the owner knows a rediculous amount about a ton of cars.

Not to discount the info there or anything, but why does it show on pg 33 and pg77, the Turbo 7MGTE Intake camshaft as having 10 degrees more duration than the NA camshaft?

on pages 33 and 77, it compairs the 7m to the 2j, the GE to the GE and the GTE to the GTE. it compairs the timing, the cams, the horsepower, the torque. i thought that the cam that people wanted to swap into a GTE was the exhaust? i guess i was wrong.

The exhaust cams are identical between the GTE and GE (7M) motors. The intake camshaft of the GE has 10º more duration than the GTE camshaft. They have the information messed up (misprint).

Pulling 2JZs to put 1JZs in them... ?
you would be supprised what some people with sc300s do. why waste the money to go down in displacement only to add a bigger turbo? why wouldnt you just put on the bigger turbo:dunno:

I dont think that a lot of people realize how easy it is to go ge-t. If you didnt know shit about cars, and you wanted to turbocharge it, a 1j is a helluva lot cheaper than a 2j especially because you can get them with an r154 already attached.

The whole 400whp that guy was talking about...

He could have been talking about the 2JZ-GE's with VVT-i..... THOSE have the weaker rods. No one specified which year or which model 2JZ-GE.
Stay away from the VVT-i, it's not your friend.

But yeah, I got my 2JZ-GE for like, $600 shipped, I may get another one to hold on to, just in case anything happens. Cheap reliable replacements. Let us all forget about these silly 2JZ-GE posts.....

And keep the supply high, and demand low!
