how old is the 02 sensor? no reason it should have that bad of mpg unless you driving it really hard non stop.
in closed loop the ecu will correct for 14.7:1. i have a ton of mods on my car and still get 25mpg+. and thats with a big dog aeromotive pump, 680cc injectors, and a built auto...
it will make for a no targa off cruising lol. the shop is big enough to eat inside no problem. and of course the dyno itself is inside. so plans will still be on. *knocks on wood* the weather is looking great so far!
right, the gt turbos are listed as exducer size instead of inducer size. the 4082 is a 58mm inducer, 82mm exducer.
i was just saying the specs on the blowzilla, or the design isnt related at all to the gt40, despite being called a gt40. or am i missing what you are saying?
did you try this?
it does sound pretty bad. are you sure the cam timing is correct? you sure the cps is installed correctly? you can have the cps one tooth off and still be able to get the ign timing in spec.
but you need to isolate where the problem is.
the turboxs is adjustable. just doesnt have an external adjustment. take the top off and pull the spring out. there are preload washers under the spring. the more washers, the more preload. if there are any in there, take them out.
check vac source like poodles said too.
congrats on the numbers!
any other vids? the audio is like fingernails on a chalkboard.
btw, i looked into the blowzilla turbo, wasnt sure what that was. for others interested-
built by phoenix turbo. called t4/GT40. also have a T3 version.
curious, there is nothing GT40 about...
steve-
the bulk of the people are coming on saturday it seems. friday at the track is still a go, noone said anything about making a meeting place to drive out there so i didnt make one.
how many people are coming friday? or just sat only?
jeff-
there are tons of hotels here. i...
if you can make it at 9am, come to the church. if not, then go directly to the dyno when you can.
refresher-
We will be meeting early in Louisville before we head out to the dyno. I'm suggesting that we will start meeting up around 9Am so we can make it to the dyno in time and give...
the hose going into the bov goes on the 3000 pipe. you have to plug the accordian hose where the stock bov went. you can buy a cap (3/4") from about any parts store.
also, you may have to use another hose to run to the bov. not sure which you have, but most are bigger inlets than 3/4"...
matt- please add armyastro to the attendance and dyno.
food/drink/cooking is covered! tony said he will provide hot dogs and chips with drinks for us. he has someone doing the cooking for us too.
you could bring some drinks and some other stuff if you wanted, but you dont have to. no...
all i see is a pic of the corner of your garage and your neighbor's house? and you are so in love with red you have a red filter on your camera too!? you might want to seek some medical help.
the 1.05 is a popular a/r with the rx7 guys. and it does spool pretty quick on those cars. its a rotary, and a little different. but regardless, for a supra thats way too big for that turbo.
i understand what you are saying about the spray. it doesnt really help with heat, but helps prevent moisture seepage and i just think it looks better. i agree if it started to flake it would look pretty bad tho. ive never experienced that, but i usually use the metal zip cords.
9 mpg is crazy. you drive it that hard? the trip to chicago i got right at 26mpg with mine.
address and maps are on page one. you can meet with us in louisville if you want.
glad you can make it!
open would be low pressure, which would lean the motor.
thats what the j-tube restriction is for. if the fpr fails, the restriction allows enough backpressure to the fuel system to limp the car home.
in my 9yrs in the game, ive seen people run a walbro pump just fine with everything else...
awesome! thanks for posting the vid. i almost forgot about it. i do remem the vid from the 2005 or 2006 that was posted, but cannot find it now.
for hosting, you can use the sm vid upload section on here-

sounds like a 59mm turbo in an E cover (3" in, 2" out). p trim turbine is fine. the exhaust a/r is big. that will really hurt spool time.
imo- that size turbo will make ~450rw and have decent spool. but that big of an exhaust a/r will make spool a lot slower than it should be. so you...
im not real crazy about the pcv line running above the turbine housing. it looks to be coated, that will help. but even still, a lot of radiant heat there. amhik. i'd keep a watch on it to make sure its ok.
why did you not coat the exhaust wrap?
