i'm suprised. i thought the welds would be mega clean with a TIG. i don't have much experience with a TIG though so i can't say for sure. my dad has a old friend that welds aluminum parts for us cheap. his welds look like a robot did it to. he will be doing my hardpipes soon and i will show you...
i just did some intense body work on my car and your right. i bet even if i gave a step by step most people would fuck up. i don't really read any of the build threads. really time consuming when there are pages and pages. i'm sure there are some cool ones though.

i to would like to have a fab section. i agree that there is a lot of good info in build threads, but who the hell has time to read through all the shit. having all good info in one bundle would be nice.
i'm not really displaying much power. lol. like i said i bet if i went on a dyno i don't think i would have over 300hp. its not much to brag about. my car does burnout really good though which is fun every once in a while. no dought my skills can aways be improved.

to solve the boost leak problem. i would just take off all the stock intercooler pipes and make sure there aren't any rips or bad cracks. then i would clean the mating surface on both parts which ever they might be and...

yeah. great they tested the cylinders with a leak down test. that isn't going to show shit if it blew between the waterjacket and oil passege.
and jdub. i thought you knew a coolent leak down test pressures the WHOLE...
i highly doubt its your turbo. the chances that it got cracked just enought to mix a small amout of coolent are slim in my eyes. there is much more of a chance that you have a bhg. the way you discribed the oil in you catch can there is definatly water in there.
