my mint condition auto harness i'm saving has pulgs for a manual or auto tranny. i can't say for sure, but i'm pretty sure it will work. i think mine is out of a 91. the motor that it was off had round mounts. i wouldn't just go off my word though. i'm sure there is someone that has tried it.
my key from my crashed parts supra doesn't open my new supra. or the other way around. i think the lock cylinders have to be really worn. that is why it only works on older cars that have been unlocked about a million times.
edit: both my cars are the exact same year. square mounts grey plug.
well buddy, my point is most people that bash on the stock hg have never even ran a new one with arp's at the right torque spec. i'm guessing you haven't either. well the funny thing is i have. not that i don't like mgh. i'm going to be using one on my other motor. its just that for a lot of...
sounds like the hg is leaking between the cylinder and waterjacket. it could be that the cooling system isn't build pressure making the boiling point of the water to low because of a leak somewhere else, but i doubt it. i say bhg.
edit: if he used a stocker i bet he would be having this...
well, today i decided i would tear into the motor that was in my new supra i bought. its been sitting around since i got the car and took it out to put my good 7m in it. i wanted to see if its even worth keeping. i figured i would make a little build thread about it as a place to store pics and...
check all vaccum lines too. just having one disconnected will cause your boost to drop. your intake manifold/ic pipes have to be sealed for boost to stay constant during wot.
EDIT: you need hose clamps or zipties going from the turbo housing to actuator and on the boost controller if you get...
sounds like you should work on a good tune up then fcd. if you can't beat a honda under fuel cut then your motor has other problems. i would change all the fluids, plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, and any other loose ends. and the most import on turbo cars BOOST LEAKS. my car runs mid 13's with...
crazy. i thought they would get away. i have been doing over 120mph on 101 with a chp going the other direction more than once. they usually hit there lights and by the time they have a chance to turn around i'm long gone.
are you kidding me. i would do that if i wanted to mangle the deck of the head and block. there are two certain areas that it can be done without causing damage. look at the bottem of the link. it can also be done on the opposite side below the therm housing. hopefully you didn't gouge .020 pit...
a racheting wrench makes it easier, but a regular closed end 14mm will to it. if you can't do it with just the 14mm then put a 17mm on end of the 14mm. if that doesn't work your weak. lol. if there rusted thats a different story. you have to spray them with pb or whatever from under the car.
yeah, the head was off my old rodknock motor. it was actually less than 001. i couldn't really fit it in. it looked like it had just been to the machine shop by the conditon of the deck and head itself. so i'm positive a head can be remove without warping it. you need a good breaker bar so you...
yes. its insanly important. i brake them loose in about 5 passes to be on the safe side. i have successfully remove a head and checked it after and it had only .001 of a dip. its in there.

rennat the funny thing about my car is that the temp ranges that 20w50 covers is well below the the coldest temp i'll ever see. and i don't think the dealership was lying to me. there are multiple grades to choose from, so each to his own.
subjub4tor here is a pic of the last time i pulled my...
i had the same problem taking the driver seat out of my crashed car because it had no power. a crescent wrench isn't going to do anything. there on there tight. i used a regular 14mm wrench until i found my racheting 14mm that i lost under the seat. lol.
i don't know about you guys, but with my first sup i put 5w30 into it listening to what some people say is better. long story short i got rod knock about couple months later of owning my first supra. then i decide i would call up toyota and have them look up what the motor came with. it came...
