My a340e is quite exciting straight, or twisting. Just remember, you can't shift faster than fluid. That said, I still want a r154, but not for excitement.
I know that you're trying to keep the timing belt on, but if for any reason you choose to remove it, make sure you mark it for rotation. You don't want to put it on backwards.
Excuse me? Where did you learn to bench bleed? Do it the ultra hard way if you like, but I prefer to do it the right way, by taking a short brake line, and looping it back to the reservoir. Doesn't even need to be taken out of the car. And learn to spell!

Try bench bleeding the master. Air can get trapped in all kinds of little hiding places in a master. If your slave cylinder is leaking, then replace it, otherwise it should be fine.
