i installed the rear set on my car too.i had to drill two of the steel sleeve's.two of the factory sub-frame mount bolt's have a hexagon shape to them.once the whole was opened up it went smoother, but would have been easier with another set of hand's.
hey ronnie,do you still sell the steering...
i just snapped a pic of the kit jake reed(?) sold to addapt the mkIv rear brake's.the offset piece's are made to drop the caliper's in and give you full contact patch,no need to drill
blackgamer,i need a set of the hub centric ring's for mine too.let me know if your going to make some up,i might be interested.your further along then me.i still haven't pressed the new bearing's in the carrier yet.mine have been sitting like this for months:(
can't help ya out on that one, sold my 7m lower awhile back.that would be awesome for you 7m guy's if they lined up nice.saw both in half and then weld together, bam ffim for the 7m.
i have one of those rug's for the top of my dash.i don't have it because i like the way it looks.i have it to protect my mint shadow grey dash.if it stops it from cracking, people saying it looks gay won't bother me.
i couldn't tell you which one would be better.i do know that the 2jz lower intake is long like the 7m,but the 1j lower is real short.i'm not sure if it would be easier to mate a lower 7m and lower 2j to help bolt the upper on.
this pic you can kinda see how the lower runner on the 1j is...
when it comes to the 2j manifold's get the jdm one if you can.the usdm one has the egr tube inside that runs from front to back.you will have a little more plenum volume and probably less turbulance.2j tb is slightly bigger, but has all the ugly mess of traction control hanging off it.
the mkIV 2 pot caliper's are bigger then the r32 2 pot rear's.the piston is about 6mm bigger.give me your e-mail addy and i can send you a pic of the kit to mount the mkIV caliper's.the kit come's with offset spacer's that will bring the caliper down on the rotor for more contact patch.i also...
i never met a mkIV owner,nevermind talk to one:sadwavey:
i've talked to plenty of people who would like to own one though:icon_bigg
i don't take offense to comment's about my car.i know what it is and what it might be someday.
