Who wants to run an external wga on their stock turbo?

What benefits are you hoping to achieve?

    Modded ecu?

There was a guy, who's name escapes me at the moment, who was installing faster crystals in ECUs to increase the rev limit. The theory is that it increases everything at the same time - so it's not running outside the existing maps, just speeding them up a bit. Keep in mind this 450 rpm...

What Do You Know About Oily Plug Wires?

Not enough, I suspect. If the wires are modern, they probably don't care about the oil, they are made from materials that won't absorb it. If, however, they are the wires that came on the car in 1987, they are likely toast, and it UNlikely as hell that they can be reconditioned to work properly.

    Looking for help with tires

Dude... this thread was revived from 2.5 years ago?? On topic... I don't slip the clutch using full slicks on sawblades. Just let the boost climb to ~7psi, then dump the thing and HANG ON.

Mt rad install on at tranny?

That will work, however, I seem to recall that they are a fair bit cheaper than that at the local auto parts store... but I might be thinking about the cooler itself instead of the complete kit like that is. In any case, they aren't difficult to get, pretty much any parts place should have...

    hatch leak hummmmm

Water in the antenna area can also be the hatch seal, crazy as it sounds. I had this problem. Simply pulling the hatch seal up a couple millimeters around the bottom corner fixed it. As for water pouring out of the lower hatch trim when you open the hatch, from what I understand that's often...

1.8MM MLS Headgasket. Anyone use these?

To be honest, I don't know what the effect would be, or whether it would affect the life or performance of the motor. I've read enough about it to know that it *exists*, and due to that I've always tried to keep it in the same spec that Toyota designed it with. The only real effect I can state...

1.8MM MLS Headgasket. Anyone use these?

The gasket size will affect the quench, or squish, on the engine. The system is designed to have the pistons move to a certain distance from the head, and messing with that by literally thousandths of an inch will change how the engine behaves. Personally, I don't understand the effects, I...

Not an actual GTE block from toyota?

Looks like a normal Toyota block that's been rebuilt to me. I'd check the size of the cylinder bore to see if it's already been bored out, and the height to see how much it's been decked.

Wiring for rear defrost, hazzard and "on-off" switch

You can keep the cig lighter... you don't use it instead, you use it as well. Just use it for power and keep it plugged in. As long as you're not running crazy power off it - I'm running an electronic boost gauge, wideband, EGT gauge, temp gauge, and oil pressure gauge as well as the original...

    1154rwhp 7M (with nitrous) 975rwhp Turbo Only!

Congrats! Vegas is always a great time, wish I could have squeezed in a trip this year. PS: Record for a 7M is significantly higher than that. Mibrum is the current record holder, at 1340. Of course, that's not in a Mk3 chassis...

Not offhand, but it should still be in the first few pages of the Mk3 general section over there.

Finally, pics! The amount of fail in this thread has dropped back to tolerable levels. :) Love the sticker! :D

Not an actual GTE block from toyota?

Never heard of a knock off Toyota block... and I suspect we would have, as it would be silly to manufacture ONE knock off.

    7M-GTE Build 650hp+ needs advice

Two members here that build and sell manifolds. Ron: http://www.supramania.com/forums/member.php?83-jt2ma71 I'm not sure if he's still making these or not... probably can't hurt to ask, though. His fabrication skills are absolutely top notch. Seth...
