Care to machine me a girdle Rich? :)
Im gonna fab up a dry sump anyways, so no need for bolts on that main anymore....
Sorry for derailing the thread..... :)
I hear ya....ive been buying more tools lately than supra parts, but its good to see youre getting back on it soon.....Good luck, you'll need it for the eventual guudgematch....;) :D
Eli,
I called ARP probably a year ago to make a set of L19 studs for me, and i believe i was quoted $850 plus at least a month lead time.....
Needless to say, ill see how far the U/C stock sized oned take me :)
Hard to call bs on the guy because we dont know exactly what kinda kawi it was.... If it was a freakin '94 ninja 500 or something, then i can totally see him winning.... :)
Find out what bike it was so we can judge how much props to give you ;)
Not a real problem with me that the thread is here, as long as it stays on topic, and the updates are kept in the same thread....
If a bunch of bashing/OT shit stars though...thats a different story :)
1) moved to proper section
2) how the fuck do so many threads end up going down this road....
3) I have 1/2 a mind to just fuckin delete it....but i wont yet ;) (unless it starts getting too personal that is...)
Good luck Dave!
I might be having a similar surgery in the near future.....need to get sceduled for an MRI first....
Let us all know when youre better again! :)
Got my header flange in this past weekend, so i'll start on the header fab this coming weekend. i'll have the doors and fenders painted in the next couple weeks also.
Check out how much my old pre-89 mounts allowed the motor to move...lol

For the new car i have just welded some pre-89s to make them solid.
Im with Dr.J....weve done a VPC/AFC to 630whp (HiPsic car before the AEM) and it was past the point of diminishing returns. Tuneability suffered, and it wasnt very well-mannered. I agree to save up for somethign a little more sophisticated for bigger power.
Ahhh...now i see it...the other links went to the "titan self sealing"...
It looks intriguing, but im not fixing what aint broke....if i blow a cometic at 40+ psi, I'll consider giving one of these a try, assuming they're produced.
SCE does make a great gasket (ive used them on SBCs), but id still be weary of a copper gasket on a daily driven-type car, sealant-embossed or not. Maybe its just the pics, but i dont see anything that goes 360* around the bore like a o-ring would. All i see it sealant around coolant passages...
Yeah, im retarded sometimes.....not to mention a little while ago we did some experimentation on spraying wet into the compressor inlet, which of course changes things.... oh well..... my bad
I stand corrected....nosechunks is absolutely right...my apologies for the misinformation... I work with nitrous a bunch more on carb'd stuff, and i think too much. Still no excuse....
:(
The issues ive come across with plumbing the fuel solenoid/jet off the RRFPR is that obviously the fuel pressure will increase with boost but the nitrous jet is sprayign the same amount the whole time. So for instance if youre spraying to spool the turbo, at 0psi of boost, theres 38psi of fuel...
