Not sure what kind of kawasaki it was. but it was fuckin' loud.

I was cruising up 3rd st. (a 3 lane highway in the middle of town) heading North. Cruising at about 40mph in 4th gear i start gradually passing him. i hear him kick it down a gear.. so i do the same. Then he kicks it down another gear, i go into 2nd. i hear him crank back the throttle and he gets a slight jump. After the turbo spooled, i WOT shifted into 3rd, and by top end i pulled almost 1 1/2 car lengths on him then hit 4th.. pulled almost another car on him and shut down at 5000rpm.
At the stop light he kept looking over at me and lurching forward.. i revved up to 3k and on green i dumped the clutch. little wheel spin so couldnt really spool the turbo.. hit 2nd, turbo spooled and pulled another car on him, then he shut down.
It was pretty awesome. My a/f ratio was 10.7-11.0 the whole time, so i still have A LOT of room to tune with. I'm very proud of the car..
Cant wait to get the stainless manifold, 4" exhaust, waste gate, front mount and afc on!!! should be sick fast!!

thanks.. well i dont think he was on it too hard off the line, because yea he would have murdered me off the line, and through 2nd probably. Im pretty happy about the kill. Im sure it was a small cc bike though, so dont give me too much credit. This was all at about 16-17psi. not even workin' that holset turbo yet. thanks for the props guys!
i posted on the local car forum called "empire motoring" and i got nothing but BS flags. a few people gave me props though. but its all good.
Thanks for the props guys! Good luck, be safe!

Good kill but he should've murdered you off the line unless you have d/r's?

If it was any kind of modern 600cc and up sport bike, it should have murdered him off the line, off a roll, wherever. It really is up to the rider's skill.

Good kills.

Hard to call bs on the guy because we dont know exactly what kinda kawi it was.... If it was a freakin '94 ninja 500 or something, then i can totally see him winning.... :)

Find out what bike it was so we can judge how much props to give you ;)

I didn't wanna say that but yeah it must have been a an inexperienced rider..

Beating any bike off the line is quite a feat. I don't care what it is. A 500 Ninja may not be fast in top end, but they are still really quick, especially off the line. Any bike rips off the line. They only weigh a few hundred pounds.

Nice kill.

Very nice. :)

It was a while ago, sometime after Chi2k6 last year,

but on the highway, about 65mph or so, I kicked down with a little red crotchrocket. It appeared to be a little one, though. 250cc, maybe?

His front wheel was at my door...so it wasn't by much, but I still beat it.

In other news...

Who beats V12 Lamborghini's?

:rolleyes:

Joe - You're 100% correct on the chances of it being "rider" error...but when the throttle is pulled back, it's all about the bike's power until he has to shift. ;)

Anybody with some decent intelligience can put their chest on the tank and kick up a few gears but the really talented riders are still alot harder to conquer for sure. I've never riden any street bikes but I have ridden around on my friends dirt bike. Riding isn't too hard. Riding well takes a good amount of learning.

about that 250 you said you beat, I sure hope so. ninja 250s have like 14hp. lol. It's a light bike but it still doesn't have the best freeway manners.

Well it very well could've been bigger...

But I don't know if it was anything like a 600.

```Bike n00b speaking```:
What other common sizes are between 250 and 600?
It was probably somewhere in between...:) I whooped on a low 13 second Lamborghini, so it has to be something of a somewhat 2 wheel excitement. ;)
500s, 400s, and lower are common for learner friendly bikes. The 600 and up FI super sports are starting to get really crazy. Every couple years they get a little lighter and get more power. The new GSXR 1000 has like 170hp from the factory. o_O
14hp??? Cant be right....
My Honda NSR250 puts out 60hp. With bigger jets for the carbs, better air filter or run open box,exhaust, ecu race tune with other things done would put out over 80-120 hp and the bike weighed like 200 lbs.
Other guys have made it alot faster.
The power to weight ratio on this bike is amazing..same goes for the honda NSR500. In stock form these bikes do 0-60mph in 4 seconds.
These bikes were only built for the Japanese market and were tagged "Suicide Machines"
Amazing bikes..chick magnets too.
Too bad they are illegal in USA, although a few guys have brought it over.
I miss my bike...
Cheers,
Roy
I think I meant to say 14 ft/lbs. Sorry for the mixup. :) I was quoting the power for the 07 ninja250. Kawasaki doesn't have any of their bikes advertised with hp on their site. Only torque. Not sure the reason though.
Bikes are alot more under the radar than most any car. I bet if you wanted you could ride it here every now and then and be ok. :)
