I think that your statement is true in many cases but not when it comes to a worked EVO or WRX/STI
You really don't need to know how to drive to launch one of those. Just mash the pedal to the floor and hang on. Those cars launch automatically with no driver experience required.
Unless this...
I meant no disrespect but the red flag went off in my head when you mentioned that you wanted to put a ford oil filter on I because you had one.
There are alot of kids around my neck of the woods who 1/2 ass everything. I know one kid who used a 2 x 4 piece of wood to shim up his driveshaft in...
Here is what I think bro.. if you can't afford a $3.00 correct oil filter you are NEVER going to be able to repair that motor regardless of whats wrong with it. I think you should consider cutting your losses and sell it to somebody who has the means and the expertise to repair it correctly. If...
So... I got the lights fixed but the clock still doesn't work. The fuse is good, the cigarette lighter works, the clock doesn't. Anything else I should check??I would like to eventually pick up a super moniter and install it. Is the wiring in place for it?
If the fuse was blown the 2 dome lights wouldn't work at all. If I push the buttons they both work perfect. The red door light comes on.. but the lights don't.
I'll check the rivets.
What about the clock??
It takes 20 minutes to remove the radiator. You will end up putting a hole in it trying to get everything off the front of the motor if you don't take it off.
The crank bolt is insanely tight. Something like 195ft lbs. I used a 3' breaker bar while jamming the flywheel with a really large...
My interior lights do not go on when I open either of the doors. They never have since I owned the car. The individual overhead lights work when I push the buttons though. What could it be?
Also.. my clock doesn't work. It never has either. What should I look for there?
Spending 4K is not unrealistic at all.
Motor is gonna run you around $1500.00 and you will need to rebuild it which will cost at least $750.00 for misc parts providing nothing major is needed
The wiring, ECU, possible exhaust and misc parts will run you another 1K easy. With no unforseen...
Update 2. I found a small leak at the heater control valve. It was dripping down the firewall and onto the tranny and then down to the inspection cover where the drips would splash against the exhaust pipe. I tightened the hose at the heater control valve and it doesn't leak anymore. I can...
I ordered mine from the local CarQuest. I ordered the Felpro gasket. Its really good quality. They didn't have it in stock but it only took 1 day to come in.
