Well, here's an alternative for some of your shims. If the space is spaller than tsrm reccomends, then you can cut the top of the valve stem instead of getting a smaller shim. Or, why not try shimless buckets? One piece, no worry of anything spitting out at high rpm. eric

Look at that diagram. There are only soo many things it can be held on by. If you've already taken off the 2 bands, and the cap, then it's either held up by the fuel lines themselves where they attach to the pump, or by the fuel tank bracket show in the middle of the left side on the diagram...

Take off gass cap, and the filler neck should come off with the tank. eric

I'm not sure where you are located, but in Canada you could probably find it at Canadian tire, or possibly Home depot. I think Canadian tire would be best bet. It should be at any store similar to that tho. eric

The product you need is called Goo Gone. It removes the residue left by tape, or any sticky stuff. Very good, you leave it on for a min or two, then sorta rub a bit and the goo lifts right off. eric

I think it was Grim who wanted to start a shim bank, but it could have been anyone here. It would be a cool idea to have so we could get cheap shims. BTW it's to my knowledge the shims pop out with a small screwdriver's aid. My machinist said the yare held with glue, but I don't know about that...

Awesome to see a soarer build. I really like the style of the soarer, it seems to beable to look normal saloon-like, but in your second pic, you've transformed it with such ginger mods and voila! Aggressive, fast, sleek. i especially love the rear half of it. Btw, nice build up...

If you put the headlights in the front bumper, would you weld the pop-ups shut and then smooth/paint so it looks like part of the sheetmetal instead? Do you have any sketches of this idea? eric

Maybe it's your radiator, or a hose connecting to it. Possibly old and cracked, or your rad could have a bump and slightly cracked etc... Did you look under and try to see any wet areas? eric
