The rod bolts are a good investment. Your machinist will have to press them into the stock rods, they will not fit if YOU try to do it, believe me. I have a spare set, I openned enough to get one bolt out, but put back in and you. eric can't see it was opened easily.

I've built a shortblock so far and I have all the reciepts for everything. I sold my prelude for $3700 to do this build, and I have surpassed all the money i had so far so... If you do it right, it gets pricey. BTW Forged doesn't = right, but it is the better way to go. eric

If you go down to a place like canadian tire, you can get a powder that you cover the spot with, and it soaks up the oil into itself, so then you just brush the powder off and throw it out and the oil goes with it. I suggest you do that, aswell as what noxide said with the powerwasher afterwards...

For the cost of upgrading the cts6's (2) AND replacing the cartridge with the DBB one, you're lookign at the price of 2 very nice garrett turbos anyway. eric

If you rebuilt the head, and by that I mean had the valve seats cut, then yes you should re-check after driving awhile because the valves will take time to seat fully, and that may throw out your lash a bit. If you didn't recut the seats, then it might still be wise to check anyway because...

Nowhere on the engine in any form is there a chain. Are you reffering to the timing belt perhaps instead? eric
