Thanks guys,
Nice edit IJ that is some funny stuff right there! I will post up some more pictures as I finish my current pieces one which will be fully polished!
As for volume it is the same as my standard FFIM which have been 600rwhp+ But what should the volume be for a 3L motor?
Seth
Shoot me a PM if your interested.
And as for the loooooong runner comment they are basically the same length as my standard long runner. They just have a bit more volume and perfectly matched radi!
Thanks again for all the compliments!
Seth
It is going to be a lag monster. It will be totally out of its efficency range at 600rwhp. Also the 1.05A/R is huge and will be super laggy unless you are using nitrious to help spool it. The SS valve would help but get a turbo good for 700rwhp and you will be much more happy!
HTH,
Seth
Well I have had the drawings and designs in the works for a long time and finally spent the money to have the parts machined to build a true fully custom long runner manifold.
Features:
-Manifold is fully custom from the head flange up
-CNC cut head flange
-1.75" mandrel bent runners...
It is a ton of work! Def buy one with the box assembled and buy really good automotive harness building stuff. Also plan it out good so you only do it once. I did mine too many times before I got it running right. Also get the stim and make sure everything works right because when I got mine...
Hey Jack,
"Are you using a Q45 on yours? The TB looks alot like the ones we are planning on using. What brand is yours? It looks bigger than the average Q45.
What mm TB do you use?"
It is one of the CNCed ones you can find on Ebay. Unfortunatly I bought a couple when they were pretty...
Hey Jack,
I actually designed an alternator drop bracket in SW that replaced the stock bracket and acheived the lowering but for me the cost vs over benefit just wasn't there. I have to have the shop next door CNC my parts that I want and it just isn't as economical as having inhouse CNC or...
Not sure how far you guys have made it with the actual prototyping but from my experience you will not be able to fit the alternator above the A/C with the runners coming straight off the head. And when I say that, I mean not angled towards the center of the manifold like the stock runners...
I dissagree to a point. I went from a t3/t4 hybrid which put down 440rwhp at 17psi(but was capable of 24+psi easy) to over almost 550rwhp with a t70 at 18psi. Same mods and tune just bigger turbo. I would say def go with a BB setup and a GT35r with a .63A/R is a wicked setup! Also the 67mm...
I will take the PS reservior, how much you want for it?
Also I can still make you a FFIM, PM me and let me know what style you are looking for!
Thanks,
Seth
Hey guys here is a list of things I am in need of:
-91-92 dimmer switch (not sure if it was an 89+ thing of just those 2 years)
-Antenna
-Powersteering resevior mount
Also I have a bunch of misc pieces left from my build:
-Ic piping
-afm
-HKS 1.2mm MHG
just ask and I may just have it...
Swapping them out is not necessarly a pain at all. The rod bolts should be pressed in by the machine shop when they rebuild it. Also the rods should be resized and made true again with the more toque and new ARP's. The Mains just simply replace the bolts. Most say line bore the block...
It was a joke although yes I did do that when I was younger when I built my first custom FFIM. And as I mentioned again I do run one now on my new FFIM's.
Seth
And that is why I said to just run it!...lol You old grouchy guys!...lmao
As with everyting else someone will claim it worked perfect for them and others will say it was SH*T.
But it was put there for a reason so run it!
Seth
That color is wicked! Absolutely love it!
But I would say black with Ice pearl and make sure he puts down a layer or two of clear first and then the pearl and then more clear to give it wicked depth!
