We have a local guy who has put a V160 into a Mk3 and we are all speculating that first gear will be absolutely useless due to the high gear ratio's of the tranny and rear end. Does your car have the opposite effect? Do you find it a bit in first? With your mods this probably isn't an issue...
If you already have the struts I would just go ahead and get some springs.
Keep in mind than any time you lower the car it will throw off the alignment. If you haven't had an alignment lately, your bushings/bolts are probably seized. If they are seized, you will be unable to get your car...
Stern 3-piece
17x8 +25 225/45/17 Could run 235 without rubbing...might squeeze on a 245 but it would be close.
17x9 +39 255/40/17 265 or 275 would fit without rubbing, all depends on how much bulge you want.
The white/cream one...just look at that fucking tire. For the life of me I will NEVER understand the appeal of having a set of wheels that are USELESS. Where the hell would you feel comfortable driving on that? I wouldn't leave the parking lot in that car.
Besides that I think everything...
If you read my first post you will see that I won't be buying them.;) I am very happy with my H&R's for the time being. I just figured this would be an interesting discussion.
supraguru: Thanks for the info on the coilover manufacturers. Info like that may affect what products people...
Do those fender always come with the gay mesh in front of the doors? Other than that those are PIMP! Those would be great so people wouldn't have to stretch the shit out of their tires to fit wide rims in the front. I bet they aren't cheap though, you tent to have $$$$ taste. lol
Were you able to determine who the manufacturer is? I see the poor information on that site I linked to but that is just description on a parts website. They are merely a dealer, not the manufacturer themselves. I have seen poor descriptions of parts I know are good quality. I've been...
I have faith. I have no problems with Mk4 owners here. I love the cars and many of the owners could contribute positively to the community. As far as I'm concerned this just means there is more info to read each time I log in. I also look forward to learning more about Mk4's since I would not...
Just noticed they also carry a GT line. It has 4-way adjustable dampers and costs $760.
I can't find any info on spring rated though...

Damper is another term for "shock". I just checked and Driftmotion has Koni fronts for 105 each and Bilsteins for 210 for the pair. If I were doing it I would do front and rear at the...
Sounds like you need to roll your fenders. Replacing the struts is a good idea since you probly don't know their age and they will guard against excess suspension movement. Since you are lowered I would recommend going to the vendor section and emailing any of them. You want a performance...
