    Upper mount questions?

It's not because of the factory mounts. It's because the off the shelf damper body is too tall. There's only 4" of stroke on the front dampers, and you can't get the car to the right height without bottoming out the damper before you even start driving. If you're serious about the suspension...

    rear suspension question

If it's all stock back there, I bet everything is blown. That doesn't mean that everything is making noise, but you should probably replace all bushings and the shocks and then it will be good. And they're shocks in the back and the front, there are no struts in any part of the suspension.

Risky Devil - HIN Drift demo

I think everyone should look at what coilovers he is running. Alright, kind of a shameless plug, but Leigh is running the Bilstein setup I built for my brother's car. He was just running them until the TIP Koni 30 Series SP8 setup was ready. So he will be getting that setup with a little...

need CAD file for fuel rail

Just measure where the injectors are and get it machined. Why would you need a CAD file for that?

Anyone got a CAD file of the front hub?

I could go for a 13" PBR right now. But anyway, why are you measuring the stock rotor? You shouldn't need to do that? And are drawings of the PBR calipers available or do you have to measure that as well?

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

IJ, lower offset doesn't have an effect on Ackerman. Ackerman is determined by the pivots in the suspension. Changing offset does effect a lot of other things though. It will affect your track width, spring/shock/bar installation ratios, scrub radius, roll center heights, and a bunch of...

Need some exterior advice...Let me hear your input!

Are those fenders any wider than stock? Or do they just have those vents in them?

    Trunk Sheet Metal

18 gauge should be fine. You could probably get away with thinner in the spots where the sheet metal would be better supported, otherwise it would warp. When I cut out the spare tire well, I had just temporarily riveted in a piece of 0.050 6061, it rattled, but there were no ill effects...

    coilovers

Either something is wrong with Cify's set or whatever he is describing makes no sense at all. I remember him talking about how screwed up they were a while back in the suspension section. But even if his are screwed up, that doesn't make the megan's good. It's actually more believable that...

    weight reduction?

Syst, you should be easily under 3k. I'm also curious to see the weight distribution with the LS1. And for stripping the car, I was able to get my brother's supra down to 3k lbs by just removing stuff. Getting rid of extra engine stuff, everything inside that wasn't needed, etc. But I...

    lsd problem wtf

Hopefully rebuilt means he bought an aftermarket diff because to pay that much to rebuild the stock LSD just doesn't make any sense.

    lsd problem wtf

If you really want to drift some day, get a real diff or weld an open one. Throw the stock one in the trash.

    Rhd

Besides all the RHD is dumb and stupid reasons. What about the fact that you're moving the steering and brake stuff over to the hot side of the engine bay. There's an advantage to having the steering column and brake master cylinder on the intake side. So you would just end up making more...

    Upper mount questions?

Brian, I don't know what size springs aftermarket mounts will work with. It might fit on 2.5" coil springs or they might be sized weird. See if you can find someone that has them in stock and give them a call. Or just use stock rear mounts in both the front and rear and get a spring...

    Tubbed Supra

So you want to fit as much tire as possible, but you don't want to go any further outboard than the stock wheels? That's what I find as dumb. There's a lot of room on the outside that you can use without having to modify the fender or do anything else that you don't want to do, so why not use...

    Tubbed Supra

Yes, I meant move the lower point inward. And the increased leverage you mention, is nothing more than a different installation ratio. As long as the shock is mounted properly, that is easy to account for. If the shock is not mounted correctly and seeing other loads, then you did it wrong...

I'm pretty sure JNZ doesn't have a rack. They also aren't "a little north of NJ", they're in PA, not too far from jersey, but depends on where in Jersey you're coming from. But if you're willing to leave Jersey, go to R/T Tuning, it's where I will go for my alignments. They got a sweet...

    Tubbed Supra

Moving the top of the shock won't give you that much more room. You would need to look at moving the bottom mounting point if you really wanted to get more room back there. And let me get this straight, you want to tub the rear and move suspension points and throw together something...
