alright, ill try going back to stock FP, i just wanted to check and make sure pulling that much fuel was not going to push the timing dangerously far, as some people have warned me.
well, little update
i re tuned my safc, and created a tune point right at the lean spike so that i could add fuel at only that point.
so i took care of that spike, and that one is normal.
BUT it created a new one at 3000 rpm same deal, 3000-3200. same spike, to mid 16's
anyone?? i could...
thanks for the response, thats good to know
can anyone chime in to let me know if i am endangering my car in anyway by pushing timing with the amount of fuel i am pulling?
thanks
Hey Guys,
So I have my SAFC tuned pretty well, but i am trying to get it fine tuned, and get some peace of mind clearing up a few questions.
i read over the tuning thread in the ref section, and a few other sources as well.
i have it tuned as recomended. the few questions i have are...
did you get like the driftmotion kit, or just the fpr?
if you got the kit, you just run from the return line port on the fuel rail, to one side of the regulator
then from the bottom of the regulator to your return line.
then pick a vacuum source, set your desired pressure, then connect...
Hey All,
I recently got my PLX wideband installed, and properly tuned my safc.
it runs perfect through almost the entire rpm band, whether i am under boost or just cruising, except for right from 2000-2150 RPM on the low throttle setting of the SAFC.
Under normal (not WOT)...
thanks for the help, got her taken care of. i must have had right hand drive mounts or something on my ecu, idk if theyre different, but i "adjusted " them to fit
there are literally hundreds of this exact post all over this forum, search it, research, and make the decision for your self.
the decision is going to be different for every person.
thanks for the suggestion, i no longer have my 7m ecu (got rid of it 8 months ago, and its been that long since i have seen it installed)
So it sits like you described, i am assuming with all the wires leading toward the passanger side?
thanks
Does anyone by any chance have a pic of their stock ECU bolted into position behind the glove box?
Or is the mounting for the 1JZ ECU somehow different from the 7M ecu?
I can't for the life of me figure out how to bolt my 1J ECU into poisition...
Thanks,
-Trevor
a W58 won't be very smooth shifting after running 450 rwhp through it for a while...
r154 ftw
and for the 1j you can use all 7m clutch components, all you need is a 1/2 j flywheel and bellhousing
