    breaking u joints

I think he's right, too. For instance, Duane ripped the heads off the flywheel bolts at the 1000hp mark. The U-joints were fine. He shattered a carbon fiber driveshaft at the 700hp mark. The U-joints were fine. Care to describe how you are doing smoke shows? Are you starting in reverse...

    Duane in Import Tuner

The bare head is Toyota, too. It's missing some material that Toyota (well, Yamaha, anyway) thought was needed. :) Nor does he have a full cage installed. Correct, he is still using a stock fuel rail.

At least it's warmer than the South Pole (better known as "global warming my ass!")

That was pretty damn funny at the time - Whistler is usually a pretty damn safe bet. The problem was the events that they decided to hold elsewhere... some of the local mountains are OFTEN without snow, and everyone here knows that, so why the hell would they let 'em schedule events there...

Pretty good... but you neglected the wiper seal and the antenna seal. :)

    A/C fan speed help

That's the one. You *can* solder it, but I've never had any luck making that last more than about a year. They aren't expensive anyway. Part number is 87138-24030, cost should be about $25 with a decent discount from any of the places that likes us.

You're breaking NEW u joints with a 1J? How the hell? I've never seen one break... not even on the big boys.

    Punctuality, where has it gone?

Damn, I think I'm a bit late to this thread. Showing up on time is a sign you don't have somewhere else more important to be! ;)

At least it's warmer than the South Pole (better known as "global warming my ass!")

4 words: Sucks to be you. ;) Forecast here in chilly Canada calls for 42 degrees and sunshine. I'm still kinda disappointed in the whole global warming thing. We were supposed to get California's weather without having to put up with the people in California. So far, we've got the same old...

A buddy of mine is looking for a turbo for his drag beetle... suggestions?

I've seen quite a few drag cars here with no intercooler. I've never managed to figure out the reasoning behind it - whether they simply tune for the excess heat, or whether the fuel they are using drops the intake charge temp enough by itself. It's the methanol that's playing havoc with my...

    Usage-based billing for Canadian internet

It's technically correct, however, it's extremely misleading. They are talking about a small ISP - one of the setups that leases traffic from someone else - in this case, Bell, who is one of the major players up here. Also, they are quoting the biggest surcharge per GB that I've seen - most...

Did Toyota ever change headgasket torque?

Affected a lot more than just the Supra - the 7M was also used in the Cressida, Chaser, Crown, and Soarer.

Heater blower resistor is probably popped. It's a simple fix. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=AC&P=30

    Usage-based billing for Canadian internet

Those studies leave a fair bit to be desired. They talk about what is in use, not what is available. And the US Telecoms *should* be making more money - they are servicing a larger market, with a significantly higher average income. And for crying out loud, don't read more into the Canada...

Did Toyota ever change headgasket torque?

This is only rumor... however, scuttlebutt says that one possibility is Toyota did it deliberately to prevent harsh import taxes from the US Government. In the mid 80's, US car manufacturers simply couldn't compete on quality, and their 'Buy American' advertising was starting to fail...

    Usage-based billing for Canadian internet

We already have this, as far as I know. Shaw certainly charges extra for more usage. To be honest, I don't really care - what I really want is a connection that doesn't make my games ping spike to 900+ ms all the damn time.

The story of my Supra....My 2JZA70 supra!

Have you considered adding some water / meth injection? Made a huge difference in mine. You should be able to push it to near 600 rwhp on pump fuel with that added to what you've already got. I wouldn't change the rear diff if I were you. As soon as the power climbs up there - and that...

    The Mistress

lol - it doesn't look quite that bad unless I use the flash. It's actually a mixture of blue and cream color, the purple highlights only show up under a flash. And besides, it reclines, which lets you forgive a fair bit. Taking them off wasn't the problem, it was putting the new ones ON. The...

Did Toyota ever change headgasket torque?
